Polka Dots

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
These were very easy to make. I followed another person's suggestion and whisked together the eggs and oil before adding the brownie mix. Then folded in the white chocolate chips. I baked for about 9 minutes. These cookies did not flatten out, which was great. They tasted good, too.

Delicious Easy Chicken Francese

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I was not a fan of this...the others who ate it said they liked it. It seemed rather lemony and I only used half of the lemon that was called for. My standards may be too high because I love Maggiano's Chicken Francese and this didn't taste at all like that. Overall, I likely wouldn't make this again unless someone begged me to.

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
These tasted great the night I made them, but they didn't reheat as well as I would have liked them to...the biscuit almost seemed a little tough.

Italian Cheese Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
These were fabulous! Quick and easy, but they tasted delicious. We made them just as the recipe indicated (except for we used boneless pork chops), and I don't think I would change a thing! I think the thyme gave them a really nice flavor, so I would recommend using that over the parsley.

King Ranch Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
I thought this was pretty good...wish it was a little healthier, and had a bit more of a kick, but we still really enjoyed it. I layered the tortilla chips on the bottom of the dish and then mixed the cans of soup, rotel, part of the shredded cheese, and the chicken together and poured it on top of the chips. I then topped with some crumbled chips and the rest of the cheese. Yum!

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
These turned out very creamy...I used Yukon Gold potatoes instead of russet. They are not my grandma's famous mashed potatoes, but we all still enjoyed them.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
I went back and forth with how to rate this recipe. Everyone who tried it loved it...it really does taste like pumpkin pie. That being said, it does not look appetizing at ALL, so most people were afraid to try it! I added vanilla extract as someone else suggested, along with Heath bits, and everyone liked that addition.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
These were very good, and easy to make! I used lower sodium bacon to try and cut back on the salt factor, but they were still pretty salty. I took them to a party and everyone seemed to enjoy them.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I didn't think this was very good at all. Followed the recipe as it said, and found it to be very bland, yet extremely salty. I don't think I did anything wrong in making the recipe. Definitely will not be making again.

I made this exactly as the recipe indicated (except substituted regular cheddar cheese for sharp), and it was delicious!

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
I was not a fan of this frosting and neither was anyone else. Too sweet and not in a good way, either. The consistency was not anything like a buttercream that you would find at a bakery. Very disappointing.

Mrs. Strong's Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2009
I added a can of cream of mushroom soup like one of the other reviewers mentioned. I also mixed everything together before baking it because we like it better that way than when it is in layers.

Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
These were pretty good, but I think next time I make them, I would mix the cheese and bacon throughout the potatoes, rather than just layering it on top.

Ham Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This is a good starting recipe, but I added a few spices to make it better. I added garlic powder, onion powder, and Accent Seasoning. I omitted the green onions because I am not a fan of them.

Spaghetti Pizza Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
Overall, this was pretty good. I used a 6 cheese Italian blend instead of Cheddar cheese because I thought it would taste much better. My only problem with it is that not having the sauce mixed into the pasta before baking ends up making it a little dry, and I am worried about how the leftovers will taste. If I made this again, I would put pasta sauce on the bottom of the pan, then the pasta, then more sauce, and then finish layering. I also didn't use as much pepperoni as the recipe called for, and probably used 2 cups of cheese instead of 3.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2008
These were pretty good. I wish that I would have added taco seasoning to the beef like others suggested. I've made a similar recipe before that I liked better. The amount of filling was perfect for 18 shells, but I would have preferred to make some more and filled up the entire 9X13 pan, as I had a lot of open space.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This was really yummy! Biggest change I made: you definitely need to mix the sauce mixture with the noodles before putting it in the pan. Otherwise it will end up being extremely dried out. This was delicious and I will definitely make it again. Also, this makes far too much for just two people so if I make it again, I may only make half as much.
