Goat Cheese Arugula Pizza - No Red Sauce!

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
This was simply fabulous! I also chopped the arugula and tossed it with a little olive oil, lemon juice and pepper. I also only used about 2 oz. goat cheese and sprinkled it over the pizza to save a few calories. It was wonderful and I will definitely make this again. Thanks!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Was looking for something a little different for a tuna melt. This was awesome! I too used less mayo and added a little celery for crunch. I will definitely be making this again!

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
These were as good as everyone said they were! I opted to halve the sour cream and they were in the pot all day and were delicious and piping hot a dinner time. A life saver on holidays. The tip about the tea towel worked great.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Tomato

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
Very good and easy recipe. I added some thinly sliced tomatoes on the top at the end of baking time and broiled a little bit to finish it off. Very pretty and very good! Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
Very good for being so incredibly easy! I used mushrooms instead of celery, and a good pinot noir. (The cook gets the rest!) THe only thing I would do differently is to maybe brown the tenderloin in a pan first to make a nice crust before going in the oven. I will definitely make this again. Love those easy recipes that look like you slaved all day.

Sweet and Spicy Stir Fry with Chicken and Broccoli

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I didn't get the great ratings for this recipe. Leave out the salt and pepper - there's enough salt with the soy sauce (even low sodium soy sauce)and pepper is not an asian spice and it overpowers the rest of the dish. Add some sugar for more dimension. This really isn't that great - maybe with some modifications. The one good thing is it is healthy and low in calories!

Good, but it is a lot of work unwrapping the caramels. Would make again - people love them!

Stuffed Peppers with Turkey and Vegetables

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2007
We thought this was wonderful! I've made it with both ground beef and ground turkey and the recipe turns out perfect. Don't be shy with the garlic powder, spices and use a lot of salt and pepper. I also put them in raw and cooked for 40 minutes like the other reviewer - and they were just perfect. Highly recommended!

Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
So simple, yet so delicious! I used 1 TB fresh basil instead of dried - much better that way, I think. We used tilapia and it was great. This will definitely be a keeper in my recipe box.

Stuffed Mushrooms IV

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
These were scarfed down faster than I could take them out of the oven and everyone wanted the recipe. These taste great (I used hot Jimmy Dean sausage and added a little parmesan cheese) and unless you are used to opening a can and calling it dinner, these are not hard to make at all. Will make these again for sure!

Three Bean Salad I

These were very good, but it makes a lot! Used 1/2 the sugar and oil as others suggested. Great for making ahead since flavors meld together and taste great!

Yes, it is unappetizing looking, but once you get past it, it tastes great. I added a little cheese and used Rotel. Yum!

Baked Brie with Mushrooms and Almonds

This was really bad. It was slimy and overpowering with tarragon. It's not appetizing looking either. Don't bother with this one.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
I really thought there was no way to enjoy the taste of authentic caesar dressing without having to make the real thing. I was very wrong - this really does taste great and is so much less work. I used anchovy paste, and used half french bread and half whole wheat french bread for the croutons - it really was great. I made it for Christmas Eve dinner for 20 people and everyone commented on it. Highly recommended!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Made it for a holiday buffet, doubled it and it was still completely gone. It is really good, and everyone loves it. I left out lettuce and added some black beans and corn - yum! Made it the day before and it was still fab.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
Excellent and simple recipe! I made this with half white bread and half cornbread yesterday for Thanksgiving and it was a definite hit. It is worth the effort to make from scratch than use the old crummy Stove Top. Highly recommended!
