My favorite family cooking traditions
My father and I make sausage (sticks, brats, italian) during the late winter and early spring. My 4 and 5 year old daughters have been helping for the past two years.
My cooking triumphs
My V8 juice is really close to being a copy cat recipe. My father and my italian sausage recipe is awsome! I make a pastry from dark rye and fill it with sour kraut, swiss cheese, corned beef, and seasonings and top it with a horseradish dip which has become a big hit.

Adzuki Bean Mango Stir Fry with Cilantro Lime Coconut Sauce
This recipe was a dissapointment. I spent over an hour preparing it only to discover that I am not a fan of lime, coconut, cilantro, and ginger. I enjoy cooking with all of the items separate but together they were too overpowering.

Manhattan Style Clam Chowder
First, DO NOT ADD 1 T and 1/2 T of dried THYME, as mentioned by another review. The amount of thyme was way too much. I reduced the thyme to 1/2 T dried and followed the other suggestions of double the clams and celery as well as using stewed tomatoes with peppers, garlic and onions. This recipe was so good and low in calories/fat/carbs/ etc. that we will make it again and again!

Smoked Salmon Spread
This recipe was very bland tasting to me. I added additional hot sauce, 1 tsp spike seasoning, and another 1 tsp of fresh dill. Not quite what I was looking for.
