Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
I had some leftover netarines that were getting a little overripe so I decided to do a basic cobbler with them. I used this recipe and it turned out great. I just added a little cinnamon to the flour mixture, and tossed the nectarines in some sugar instead of sprinkling it on top. The batter did turn out to be a little chewy, but I think I baked it too long. My oven gets a little hotter than it's supposed to!

Used green chili sauce instead of red enchilada sauce. LOVED IT!

My Mom made this for years! We just called it "that Potato, Sausage and Pepper stuff," when I was younger. There are lots of different versions on this site but this basic recipe deserves the FULL 5 stars due to it's simplicity. Don't over think this recipe, you'll appreciate the flavors more in the end.

Easy Cola Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
We made this with 3 Chicken Breasts , bone and skin on, in the Crock Pot all day on low. Less ketchup, more Worcestershire made it a little less tangy than traditional BBQ flavor which tends to assault the senses a tad. We also added a barbecue rub and garlic salt for a little seasoning. It all ended up falling off the bone nicely, very moist! I recommend this as an alternative to traditional BBQ Chicken.

Caramel Pecan Delight

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
Just made this for our Halloween potluck at work, it was the biggest hit! Didn't change a thing except I used low-fat cream cheese...but w/ the caramel sauce and whole package of pecan sandies I don't think it really mattered! I will be making this again for out next potluck...Christmas!!

Chilled Christmas Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
This recipe is great! If you are looking for a party punch that has a little hint of Christmas spice this is what you are looking for. I just had a Christmas party with about 30 people and EVERYONE had at least two cups. I made a "naughty" batch and a "nice" batch by adding Rum to the naughty batch. I had to make seconds and thirds of the naughty batch. It is great with and without alcohol!! I didnt change anything except I doubled the recipe! This was a great find and I recommend it to anyone having a Holiday party this year!!!!
