Flourless Chocolate Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
For gluten free, this is definitely a 5 star! I'm not used to cutting out gluten at all, and it still was a very tasty and moist brownie.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
Absolutely loved this recipe!!! I followed the suggestion of the one cook and halved the recipe and increased the temperature. The last 5-10 minutes I had to adjust accordingly.

Turkey Mercedes

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
We tried this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was really good! I was prepared to make homemade gravy apart from the turkey juices by roasting turkey legs, thighs, and neck. I then simmered the turkey pieces in it's juice with fresh spices, carrots, onion, and whole garlic. It turned out very well! My guests agreed it was a nice alternative to the traditional turkey.

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
Followed the recipe to the "T" and it was fabtastic! It was nice to find a seasoning that I could eat being on a low-sodium restriction that had a ton of flavor. I will never go back to the pre-made packets.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I loved this recipe! I didn't have sherry in the cupboard, so I substituted balsamic vinegar and it tasted great. Other than that, I kept it the same.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
WOW! Loved this recipe, so did my husband. I was always of cooking fish because of not knowing if it was done or not. This cooked up perfectly to the "T" as recommended by the recipe. Didn't change a thing!

Stir-Fry Spinach Salad

Absolutely loved the flavor of this dish! I put a tablespoon of apple cider in this and thought it was enough. Thanks for the recipe!

I thought this was extremely tasty once I added Pampered Chef's "Crushed Garlic and Peppercorn rub."

I didn't have green onions on hand so I used Tastefully Simple's Onion Onion and it was phenomenal!

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
I gave this a 5 because I am on a very low sodium diet and this was the first thing that I could actually eat. I used low sodium chicken broth to reduce the sodium and man was this a treat! Food has been pretty tasteless to me, so this was a pleasant surprise! Thanks for the recipe... simple but good!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2006
This is absolutely my husband's favorite chicken dish, I love it as well. We've made it at least a dozen times. I actually don't normally like honey mustard on anything, but the combination of everything that goes into it makes it one tasty dish! I served it for a friend who is a picky eater and she loved it as well. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Spanish Rice Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
Thanks Sharon for this recipe! It turns out great everytime. It's one of those timeless recipes that I can always rely on when I don't have a lot of time to make a meal. My husband loves it and requests it frequently. The only thing I change occasionally is to add more chicken (2 breasts total). This is definitely a winner.

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
Wow! Who needs to go out to eat when you can bring restaurant quality to your own kitchen. Absolutely loved this marinade for the shrimp. I did make a couple of changes based on other reviews - substituted ketchup for tomato paste, didn't have any hot sauce so did a dollop of BBQ sauce, and completely left out the salt. I'm on a sodium restriction diet and my taste buds were awakened by this marinade. Looking forward to baking this and trying it as a scampy like another reviewer recommended. Thanks for the recipe!

Zesty Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2007
Wow! I will never go back to ordinary tuna with just mayo again! I am on a low sodium diet, so I use very low sodium tuna and it has lacked flavor. This recipe really punched it up. I used a little more mayo, and dill pickle relish instead of sweet (personal preference). Thanks so much for the recipe!

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
I feel like it lacked a little flavor. I addeded the garlic to the chicken while it was cooking and that helped. It still seemed like it was missing something. My husband liked it though, so guess it's a keeper.

Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
This recipe was pretty good... one suggestion - I tried to get down on fat and sodium by making this with turkey bacon. It did not work too well. It hardly had any flavor, so I think I found the one recipe where I will use the real stuff. The mixture got really watery on me, so I think I will cool the spinach first next time (and drain the liquid of course). Overall a good recipe.

Broccoli Rice Side Dish

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
Awesome recipe! I steamed the broccoli ahead of time like suggested. The only thing I would change for next time is I used Velveeta cheese like someone else suggested and I felt like it came out too thick. I will try using real cheese next time. Other than that it still tasted great!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I followed the directions exactly this time, and wished I would have followed the recommendations from the reviews. On its own it's a good recipe, but the suggestions I'm sure would have made it a "5." I will definitely double the sauce, boil the chicken in stock, and use some poultry seasoning for extra spice. I've been dying for a homemade pot pie recipe and I think I finally found it once the adjustments are made.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
I found this recipe from supercooks.com (website where you put food items you already have in your house, and it finds recipes). I loved that I didn't have to buy a thing! This tasted similar to my favorite Chicken Mirabella recipe. I did add a little chicken stock to the sauce since my husband isn't as big a fan of balsmic vinegar like I am.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
I followed the recipe to the "T" and it came out pretty bland. I was kind of disappointed because I was looking for a good comfort food of beef stew. I had to doctor it up with sage and thyme at the end because it didn't have enough flavor.
