About this Cook
I am married to a pilot who also loves to cook. What is fun is that we both like different things. He loves to grill and I do everything else! We have 3 children which keep us very busy. Cooking hasn't taken a backseat to our life but it has turned an appreciation to Quick Cooking Meals! I am a personal trainer and have tried to adjust my love for recipe research towards a healthier style of cooking, for myself as well as my clients.
My favorite things to cook
I love things with lots of flavor and I do alot of seasonal cooking. Winter months finds lots of soups, stews and roasts. Summer we grill alot and the kids love fish! I do have to admit I have a sweet tooth so I love trying new dessert recipes
My favorite family cooking traditions
My kids all love to cook and each have assigned duties in the kitchen when it comes to preparing dinner and weekend breakfasts. As a child I rember my Father chasing me around the house with a spoon trying to get one more taste of the cookie dough!
My cooking triumphs
When my girlfriends got sick of hearing what we had or were having for dinner and wondering when I was going to cook for them. So I did. I started an in home meal service called "The Family Table" I prepared 3 meals a week for them and they picked them up on a designated day.
My cooking tragedies
I have a bad habit of not reading a recipe completely before beginig to cook/bake and I am usually out of an ingredient or having to deviate the recipe to adjust for my errors. I do some catering on the side and it has happened on the job too! Not that anyone other than myself ever knew!

Brie Cranberry and Chicken Pizza
It's a winner - a bit apprehensive making this without doctoring up the canned cranberry did not have to. I bought a pizza dough ball from Trader Joes and partial baked it (farlic and herb crust) I took it to a party and topped it there...delicious!
