Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
This is one spicy chili! I only used one can of kidney beans - 2 cans would have been overload, also used the other suggestions and used one can tomato soup and one can diced tomatoes with green chiles...added 1/2 can of water so I had no complaints on it being too thick. Also added a few sprinkles of hot sauce - not sure if that is what made it extra spicy or just the fact I added a little more than the 2 Tbsp of Chili powder. Omitted allspice and you would never know. I would have to say this is a keeper but would definitely NOT give it to my 2 1/2 year old, much to spicy! Perfect with bread, a little cheese and sour cream!

French Baguettes

This had a great taste and was good but I'm definitely going to keep working on it - my bread didn't seem to rise as well as it should have - but nonetheless, I will keep making it.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
This was very good - next time I may only use one can of beans since there seemed to be quite a bit - but it was still good and tasty - even my 4 yr old ate it.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
My first time ever making sugar cookies and these were WONDERFUL!! I just hated rolling them out and using the cookie cutters - that was a pain, but the cookies themselves were worth the effort - so soft and yummy!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I really liked this and even got a comment from my husband that he liked it too, which is a small feat in itself. Recipe is so versatile with what you have on hand which makes it even better. Will definitely be keeping this and making it in the future.

This was really good - I used a pint of grape tomatoes instead and I overdid the garlic a bit but it was still really yummy and flavorful!

Gumbo Style Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I don't have anything to compare this to, but we still really liked it. I used chicken and turkey sausage, 2 cups of chix broth and cooked the chicken first in the creole seasoning mix(recommended by another reviewer and found on this site) it was spicy but not overly spicy (my 4 yr old ate it)followed the rest of the recipe as written but instead of the hot sauce just sprinkled a bit more creole mix in. It makes quite a bit but that's good for me so I don't have to cook tonight! Will make this again.

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
LOVED IT! Served it when my parents were here and they too liked it, I used a can of diced tomatoes with g. peppers and onions in place of the tomato sauce and fresh pepper, and added a can of g. chiles....super yummy, flavorful and easy to cook - mine just got a little too liquidy which affected some of the tortillas when rolling - but didn't affect that taste. a definite keeper!

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2009
Huge hit with all of us - I used 1 cup of chix broth and only used about 3 Tbsp of oil - I think 1/2 cup is a little excessive, either way, this is a keeper and I will definitely make this again.

Szechwan Shrimp

LOVED this! I used some Asian Stir Fry Veggies in addition - and I tripled the sauce, which wasn't necessary, doubling would have been just fine, but this is a definite keeper and next time I'll try with Chicken. YUM-O! Thank you!
