Panzanella Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
this is so incredibly good. I totally didn't have the right ingredients, either. I used red wine vinegar and dried basil and it was till soooo good.

Brown Sugar Spiced Shortbread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This was sooo yummy, both my 6 year old and myself couldn't keep hands off. A couple of things... first, when I mixed it up, I thought it was a bad recipe because it was dry and crumbly for me, no way I could roll this out, but then I pressed it in a round pan and it baked up beautifully and it was so yum. Make sure and bake it long enough, it tastes better to me a bit crunchy even though I am a lover of soft cookies. This serving size is a little bit ridiculous. 16 slices of this and a mouse would enjoy one slice. ha ha. So, plan on eating 2 skinny slices at once! I will try whole wheat flour next time.

Pumpkin Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
This was so delicious. Hubs loved it , but my 6 year old didn't:( Anyway, I used the all-purpose flour substitution of the other reviewers and after one day in the refrigerator its taste and texture reminded me of cheesecake! I only wish I could figure out how to cut some calories out of it... I may try less butter next time and maybe brown sugar instead...

Crawford Polish Bake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I'm totally changing my review! I made this without draining the sauerkraut and with draining/rinsing the sauerkraut and I liked it the best without draining! At first I thought the opposite because it was a little tangyier than I would prefer it, but, if you drain and rinse the sauerkraut, it misses alot of flavor. So, I'm giving this 4 stars ... Still liked it alot though!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
These are really yummy. I love that they are chewy. I totally didn't have all the dry ingredients so I added my own mix. I even used cornflakes instead of rice krispies and rolled oats because they are healthier. Yum.

It Won't Last Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
This cake is soooo wonderful. I was expecting it to be "just ok" My non-cake loving husband liked it , too. I just used 1 cup of oil and 2 cups of sugar. I think next time I might add more pineapple...just for experimental purposes. I did not add nuts cauz I didn't have em. I also didn't add cherries. ha ha I guess I really changed it, but the base recipe is wonderful. Thank you so much.

Dora's Christmas Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
I'm sorry but these were bad. My husband wouldn't even eat them. If I had to describe it, they tasted like baked homemade play dough without the salt. I used butter flavored crisco not margarine. They tasted like flour. I'm really surprised how many people rated these so high! Maybe I did something wrong but I have baked alot of cookies so I don't know.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
here is a tip about roasting chicken. Sprinkle a light dusting (I mean light) of flour on top of the skin, you can add dry spices with it, but only dry, nothing wet...(I usually just use flour, fine pepper and salt) the skin and flour "fry" together and make a crispy crust. The meat underneath will be tender from the crispy skin holding in the juice. This had revolutionized my chicken baking...
