About this Cook
I am a Spanish teacher at a public high school. I have a wonderful and loving husband, and a great dog.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are desserts! Also, pretty much anything that I feel like eating.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Italian, and one thing we always make around Christmas is homemade ravioli. It is definitely my favorite cooking tradition. Also, it is not a party in my family without a 10 course meal. Regardless of what is being celebrated, there must be food there!
My cooking triumphs
I am well known for my awesome chocholate chip cookies.
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate no-bakes! I just can't get them right!

Frozen Strawberry Yogurt
This is really good! We make it all the time. I always make it with regular condensed milk, though because that's the only one that the store carries in their own brand where I live. The name brand is way too expensive! I have also made this with half strawberries and half blueberries. Either way, it is awesome!

Buttery Corn Bread
This corn bread is awesome! I followed the recipe exactly except I made it into muffins instead of baking it in a pan. I figured I would be able to freeze them easier that way if we didn't eat all of them. I baked them at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Rave reviews from the whole family!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf
This is excellen meatloaf. I made some minor changes due to what I had on hand. I used ground venison instead of beef. I also use breadcrumbs instead of crackers and put the brown sugar and ketchup mixture on top of the meatloaf before cooking it. I usually don't enjoy sweet dinner food, but this is an exception. Even my two young picky eaters are in heaven when they eat this!
