Just me..
Me and My Puppy
About this Cook
I LOVE AllRecipes! It has been a big help in my cooking adventures. I never had an interest in cooking until I was hired to prepare samples at a local grocery store. When I saw the delight food brought to people and how it brought so many together.. I fell in love. Now I love to cook! I also have a passion for dogs and even bake dog treats. Isn't life fun????
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian foods, but I also like to experiment. I like different ethnic foods. I think my favorite thing to experiment with is making new and exciting appetizers. You never know what will be served next time we get together! Enjoy!
My cooking triumphs
I always find a real thrill comes from making something new and trying it out on friends and they talk about it AND request it from then on. I guess making people happy is a real triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Probably my biggest tragedy was when I was dating my husband and still learning about cooking. He requested I put a tomato on the grilled cheese I was making. Well, it was summer and the tomatoes were nice and juicy - especially the huge slice I cut.. as was the VELVEETA cheese (yes.. juicy and a BIG slice). As you can imagine.. it "gooshed" everywhere.. but he still married me. And, no, I have never attempted to make that again! hehe

Broccoli Soup
This was wonderful! I was a little apprehensive about it, but with no reason to be. I loved the flavor and texture. I followed the recipe, except to leave out the nutmeg (I am not a fan) and to add a bit of sage and thyme (per other reviews). Not at all disappointed. Will recommend to friends and family!!

Honey Glazed Pork Tenderloin
WOW!! This was super! Only changes I made was less honey and more brown sugar. 1/2 a TBS Less of Sesame Oil (I love s. oil..and this was plenty!) I reserved a little sauce to cook on the stove top in case mine cooked down too much - but it didn't. I did tent the meat for some of the time to protect the sauce - but near the end I uncovered it. This was great!!!! Better than great! Oh - in the sauce I cooked down on the stove top I added a bit of oyster it is my new favorite thing. Not necessary - but good none the less!! FIVE THUMBS UP!!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak
Delish!! Kind of a sweet, yet salty taste. Give it a try, C'mon.. don't be shy - this is a good one!
