Roasted New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I did these with salmon which took 30 minutes so I gave this 30 minutes. It was too long and burned on the bottom. Truthfully, they were still pretty darn good. My fault though, I did them at 400 in deference to one of the more experienced cooks. It would have been great had I checked at 20 minutes as suggested. I used fresh ground pepper and fresh ground sea salt. Delicious!

Easy Bake Fish

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
I'm not that great of a cook so I didn't change anything. I used salmon that was caught in Lake Michigan and frozen since last fall. I think salmon is good, but my wife is nuts about it. I had qualms of it measuring up to her standards. She raved about it over and over. It was quite good! I'll be passing it on to my fellow Lake Michigan fishermen.

Wisconsin Bratwurst

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
A Brat in Wisconsin is always good, but I have to agree with those against par-boiling. You wouldn't do that with anything else, why a brat? Slow cook on the grill and then place in a heated pot of beer and onions if you wish. That's especially handy if you want people to eat when they want to. They can stay on the stove for many hours in hot beer and onions and be just as good as right off the grill.

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This was my first time cooking with spices that were fresh. It turned out very good! I put the spices in a "Magic Bullet" blender and it did a terrific job on them. The potato's and chicken didn't crisp up like they should have and I did cook 15 minutes extra after taking out the grease. Still, my family loved it. Next time I'll try a longer cooking time and put the potato's in first as someone recommended.

Chicken and Mushroom Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2010
Very good recipe. Make sure you like garlic before adding this amount. You may wish to cut down a bit. I used leftover Popeye's spicy chicken and put it over mashed potatoes and then over rice. Good both ways, but better over rice. I was given the spicy by mistake and my wife doesn't like that much spice. This was a great way to tone the spice down. I did put in some of the skin to keep some of the spice and it was very good. I also went with more mushrooms, 16 oz. Just my personal taste. Thanks Joanie!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Followed recipe exactly. Had too much chili powder. Added 28 oz can diced tomatoes, 1 small can 16 oz? Bush's medium chili beans, 2 cups of water. That pretty much smoothed it out. It was pretty good, would make again.

Campbell's® Swiss Vegetable Casserole

I made it exactly as per directions. It was decent, but I'll stick with the green bean casserole in the future.

Sour Cream Burgers

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
These were good, but I didn't find them better than a traditional burger with chili sauce or A1 sauce. I don't cook things well done, but more to medium rare, so keeping them moist isn't a problem. If you like it more well done, this is probably a great recipe for you.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
Very good! I did a 5lb. and did 2 cups ketchup, 1 cup bbq sauce and 1 cup chili sauce. I did the meat whole, then when done, place in a large pan where I shredded it. I then added the sauce from the slow cooker until it was the consistancey I wanted and saved the rest for dipping.
