Italian Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2013
This cake was a huge hit! I own a home bakery and have been searching for the perfect mix of moist, decadent and just the perfect amount sweetness. I made this recipe as is, with the exception of using almond extract in place of vanilla, which I do in 99% of my baking.

Wonderful recipe! I scale the recipe to feed the people expected to be in attendance, it doesn't really re-heat well.

Too much fondant for amount of cherries listed. When allowed to set for a couple of weeks to liquify, these are delicious!

Followed directions, set up perfectly. DELICIOUS!!! You can't start timing the 5 minutes until the sugar mixture is at a FULL ROLLING BOIL, that is the key!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies III

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
The key to these delicous cookies is to use butter straight from the fridge. DO NOT SOFTEN THE BUTTER. Cook just until the edges are brown and leave on the cookie sheet 1 to 2 minutes before transferring to parchment to cool. This is an excellent recipe as written, and will be used by my family for years to come!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This recipe was great. A few things I found to be helpful, if you let the cake cool, you should use about 3/4 of the frosting. If you mix within 30 minutes of the cake coming out of the oven, only 1/2 can is needed. We rolled these into balls without putting them in the fridge first, then we froze the balls for at least 4 or 5 hours, overnight is best. These are a great versatile treat that you can change with the season. These are certianly going to continue to be an addition to all my seasonal treats. They are worth the extra work and were loved by all.

These are very soft, delectable cookies. In my oven, they had to be baked 9 minutes. We will try them peanut butter chips and crushed reeses pieces next time. Over all, a great recipe.

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
This is THE BEST cut out recipe there is on the net. I made these from my annual cookie exchange and all 11 women raved about them. To save time frosting (20 dozen take a while), I purchased buttercream icing from Sam's Club. They were a huge hit and are our family's new favorite. I will make them again at Valentine's Day. I did refrigerate the dough overnight before rolling and cutting them out. I cannot say enough about how great a recipe this is! Use real butter (salted), and refrigerate....these are THE BEST!!!!!

Caramels

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I am a HUGE caramel fan!! This is the best caramel ever! I will not ever buy them at the store again! You really have to be patient with candy, but with this recipe it pays off! You will not be disappointed!****I know use this caramel to dip oreos into, once the caramel firms up, I dip them in chocolate. They are divine! These are requested by EVERYONE at every holiday. This is one of my most used recipes from this sitr.
