About this Cook
The way some people say they've drawn all their lives, well, I've cooked off and on all my life. Food is an important part of my family, so I help out with getting dinner ready quite often. I have yet to make a complete full dinner by myself with meat and the whole nine yards, but people seem to be happy with what I do make anyway, so I'm not too concerned.
My favorite things to cook
bread, soup, pizza, desserts, fancy sandwiches.
My cooking triumphs
éclairs. They weren't difficult to make, although it took a while, and they turned out LOVELY. Greek Shepherd's pie and Greek Lemon-chicken soup. ^.^
My cooking tragedies
French macaron cookie. Don't talk to me about them. First time they were weird and spongy (I overfolded the egg whites) and the second time they looked good in the oven but the shells crackled, came off, and the macarons stuck to the pan. I don't seem to have luck with egg white based recipes in general.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn
Excellent and easy. Be sure to have enough time to do this! I had to forgo watching a movie at the theater since I had to keep stirring it, but the popcorn itself was well worth skipping the show!

I had great success with these. I experimented with the temp. of the stove top and had the best results around medium to medium-low heat. Certainly not difficult and delicious to make. I didn't bother filling them with anything (no jams, chocolate, or caramel pieces this time) and added about 1/2 teaspoon each of cinnamon and cardamom to the batter--traditional Dutch flavorings from what I understand.

Poppy Seed Dressing I
It seemed a little bland to me as was, so I added lemon juice and a bit of mustard to give color and it now tastes awesome! Thanks for the base recipe. :-)
