Grandma's Sour Cream Raisin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
This was my first time making a sour cream raisin pie. This recipe was easy to make and the flavor was simply yummy. Held it's shape well when refrigerated overnight. I can only rate the filling as I had aready made the crust from another recipe, and used a favorite meringue recipe.

Meringue II

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
This meringue really doesn''t weep or shrink. I made 2 pies and put them in the frig overnight. Both pies looked great the next day. No shrinking or weeping. It has a nice sweet vanilla flavor too and was easy to make.

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
I made these for coffee hour at church and got rave reviews. This was my first time making biscotti and found them easy to make. The dough was easy to work with, I didn't have anise so I used almond extract. I will will be making these again.

Easy to Remember Pie Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Easy to work with. Easy to remember and good flavor. I added approximately a tsp of salt. It did not get very brown. Next time I may brush with milk and sprinkle a little sugar on top (Grandma's trick)

Fabulous Homemade Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2009
Very moist bread. Very light brown inside from the brown sugar. Not overly sweet. My husband says this is the best bread I have made. I added approximately 1/4 cup of cracked wheat for a little extra chewiness. i made 4 large loaves from this recipe. I think it would make great buns too.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
Very easy to make. You really do need a kettle with a heavy bottom. My toffee got a little dark-on the verge of scorching, but was still very good. Received several compliments. Will make again.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
I made this as directed, except doubled it to make 4 loaves. Nice dough to work with. I had to bake it 45 minutes at 350 degrees. The bread had a fine, tender texture. the flavor is plenty sweet, my husband liked it that way. I may cut back a little next time. This dough would also be great for caramel rolls or buns.

This has been a favorite of mine for years. It's quick, easy and no bake. It works with Rice Krispies or Special K. You can also use chunky peanutbutter.

Christmas Cranberry Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This recipe has very good flavor and makes a large amount. I would recommend using heavy whipping cream. I used regular whipping cream and it separated and got a little watery at the bottom.

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I followed this recipe to the T. Everyone liked it. It's easy and has ingredient that most have on hand. At first I thought that the sauce would be too thick, but after baking it was just right. Hard to believe that there is no milk in this recipe because it is so creamy.
