I'm 40 years old and a divorced, christian mother of 3, grandmother of 6, almost 7. Only my youngest who is 20 remains at home (sometimes anyway lol). I love and enjoy the Lord and spending time with my family.
My favorite things to cook
I don't think I really have anything that's a favorite to cook. I just like cooking, period. A lot of the things that I cook, I don't use recipes, I just put in what I think will make it good. Brainstorming cooking ideas and recipe hunting both inspire me with new things to try.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions were from when I was a child. My mother is from a large family and every holiday we would all gather at her parents' house for dinner, gift exchanging, or whatever the holiday brought. I miss my grandparents and my grandmother's cooking. I remember I used to watch her cook all the time when I was there. She made fresh biscuits and/or cornbread and homemade syrup, just to name a few things, at every meal. She made some of the best candy I've ever tasted, haven't tasted anything near as good, since she passed away.
