Black Bean and Couscous Salad

This tasted good the night I made it but it tasted awesome, cold, the next day! I had no black beans so used butter beans instead and they were a nice texture compliment to all the crunchy veggies. So simple, but so great (and healthy!)

Tomato-Curry Lentil Stew

I did add a little cider vinegar after tasting it towards the end of cooking and finding it somewhat bland, but it ended up tasting great and my kids even had seconds! It was extra yummy with a cheeky blob of sour cream on the top.

Lemon Cake with Lemon Filling and Lemon Butter Frosting

I followed the instructions exactly and it turned out wonderfully. Even the frosting was just sweet enough to add to the flavor but not too sweet that I scraped it off (as I usually do.) Thanks so much!

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

I made this almost exactly as the recipe states but added some nutmeg and more bread (just 'cos I had a lot of stale leftovers!) and it was truly yummy. My husband is not a big dessert guy but he wolfed down two helpings *before* his dinner so it's a keeper in our house! Thank you so much.

Irish Cream Truffle Fudge

I like this but it is so rich that we can only eat small pieces and so it lasts forever. I would prefer a fudge that is not so strongly flavored and perhaps more creamy than mine turned out. I will try making again with less Irish Cream and maybe more nuts, just to try and balance out the rich denseness somewhat.

We really liked the end result of this recipe but, as previous reviewers have noted, it doesn't make a lot of dough, given the effort that goes into it. I would try and make double next time but suspect the stand mixer would struggle with that much very stiff dough.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Oh boy, did we ever love this one! My 3-year old 'helped' me make it as it was very simple to make. I can't believe how good it tastes! I allowed my son to measure out the spices so I would say they were easily on the heavy side and it still tastes fabulous. Definitely a keeper, thanks so much!

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Maybe I didn't use enough lime and chili because our kabobs were perfectly cooked (so a good marinade) but not at all flavorsome. I followed the recipe exactly so wil try maybe some lime zest and extra hot sauce next time.

Blueberry Crisp II

All the family loved this! I didn't change anything except use double the topping, as previously suggested. It did make a lot and so next time I will make only about half as much again (not that there were any complaints, just thinking about sugar consumption!) This tasted like it was so much harder to make than it was - definitely a remaker!

Artichoke Cheese Dip

This is addictive. I've made it twice now, both times omitting the dill, which I don't much care for, and it has never failed to produce requests for the recipe. It is wonderful on french bread or even with fresh veggies for dipping (more like scooping!) I also added minced garlic just to add a touch of something.

Honey Crunch Pecan Pie

I cheated and used a ready-made pie crust and it was truly the best pecan pie I've ever had. My kids don't usually go for nuts of any kind but there was not a single complaint about this pie. Make it! You won't be sorry.

Pumpkin Bread IV

I just made this a few days ago and it was absolutely delicious. Two of the three loaves have gone and there is no way the third is being gifted away! Easy to make and just so light and moist to eat, especially the top. Definitely a repeat recipe in our house.
