Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
I really liked this as a marinade for grilled shrimp but I REALLY loved this recipe as an actual dressing for a cold shrimp salad. I had leftover shrimp from the night before and I tossed the shrimp with fresh tomato, cucumber and the leftover marinade (do not use any leftover marinade that the raw shrimp touched). A pinch of finishing salt....delicious! I will be using this recipe in the future both as a dressing and a marinade!

Easy Tilapia with Wine and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
This was a great recipe! I did not have basil on hand (winter) but I did have pesto in the fridge. So, I chopped the tomatoes & garlic and added 1/4 cup of white wine with about 1 tbs. of pesto. Mix it all together and let it marinate for about 10 mins. Just spoon it on top of the fish in the foil packet. I think it turned out really good.

Skyline Chili I

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
After over a year of using this recipe, I'm finally getting around to rating it! I am giving this a 5* because my husband from Cincy says the recipe is nearly identical. The key to duplicating the texture of Skyline Chili is to blend the cooked ground beef......it is essential! Go Purdue!

Macaroni and Cheese V

Yum & Yum! I too omitted the bread crumbs. Instead I increased the oven temp to 400, in the last 10-15 mins., to make a crunchy cheese crust. This recipe reminds me of my Mom's mac & cheese!

5 star because this is such a versatile recipe. I have used this recipe to marinade chicken/shrimp/fish steaks before grilling. Great summer recipe! Serving over cous cous is a great addition!

I took the advice of caroleleah and covered/cooked for 20 mins after the cabbage was sauteed. We loved this recipe! Reminds me of the recipe from this site that made me fall in love with Brussel Sprouts: Shredded Brussel Sprouts by momzright

Sweet and Sour Sauce II

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
I have to give this 5 because hubby loves this sauce and thinks it tastes authentic. 1st time making sweet and sour sauce. At the last minute I didn't have pineapple (which I usually have) and actually blended drained fruit cocktail......hehe! I would make it again with the fruit. P.S. This recipe makes ALOT of sauce.

A very good recipe for smashed red potatoes! At the last minute I found to be out of sour cream so I substituted cream cheese. I added a dash of garlic powder and onion powder. Delish!

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2006
This is a great recipe! I love having the dry ingredients on hand. I use this mainly for marinading chicken for grilling and/or pasta salad dressing. I also used powders instead of salts and didn't have the celery salt. Red wine vinegar and EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)! Keepin' and passin' along...............

Spinach Saute

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
I was looking for a different recipe for spinach and found this one. We really enjoyed the flavors. The only thing I did differently was saute 1 garlic clove (chopped) before adding the water and spinach. Oh, and pinch of cayenne never hurts! Yum

Best Ever Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2005
Sometimes you just need a recipe to remind you of the tuna you had as a kid, this is the recipe for me.......but better! I didn't have crab but plan on using it in the future! I added chopped pepperincini (sp?) then served the salad in half of a ripe avacado. Delish!
