I am cooking at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, Nc. I love my job, I bake when someone needs a special birthday or ocassion cake. My first love was Baking, I was a cake decorator first. Now I am getting into presentation and more mediteranian style cooking and cooing with wine. It is a whole new world for me and I wouln't trade it for anything right now. The classic beef stew and biscuits my grandma makes and the chicken and dumplings that my mother in law makes. I also enjoy the spicy things that my mother used to make like hot wings and beef nachos. I have practiced these recipes hoping that I'll have them down pat when I have kids. So that I can teach them. I remember begging my grandmother to teach me to cook. I was so ready from a young age to give it a shot. I have a wonderful icing recipe that would make anything taste great. And I often just throw things together and I make a terrific homemade meatloaf which my family begs me to make for them. Breaded italian porkchops. I still don't know what went wrong but they were so chard. I just burnt em black. It's a shame too because they did smell heavenly. OH WELL:)
