Pecan Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
These are awesome little devils!!! To make them a 'little healthier' I used Splenda Brown Sugar (read pkg for conversion) and Smart Balance 50/50 Butter with Omega 3. I also added 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract. YUM!

Martha's Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2006
This is delicious! We will be making this again. While I was cooking the hamburger I added onion soup mix. Instead of potatoes I added Alphabet's pasta. Everyone gobbled it up including my toddler boys. Thanks

Calico Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2006
This is my husband's favorite meal! I have to make it at least once a week. I do add one teaspoon of dry mustard and instead of lima beans I use baby butter beans. I have even used chili beans when I didn't have the butter beans. Basically any bean will do.

The Best Meatloaf

This was a delicious recipe! Meatloaf is not my favorite usually but I will keep this recipe and make it again. I didn't have any onions or peppers just used onion powder. Thanks!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
I liked this recipe. I didn't have sesame seeds so that didn't go in. I also didn't have garlic cloves so I used garlic powder. It was delicious! Thanks!

My husband and I like this recipe. Instead of veggie oil I used sesame oil cause I like the taste better in Asian cooking.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2005
For us this had way too much salt even after I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours. The taste is absolutely wonderful once you get past the salty taste. I will make this again.

Thunderbird Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This was super simple! I threw all of it in a crockpot at lunch and left it all afternoon to cook for dinner. It was delicious too. I made some mashed potatoes and poured the meat and gravy over that. I probably make this over and over because it was so simple and good.

Hobo Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
This is a favorite of mine. I will say a trick I learned was to add little bits of butter in it. I also make meatballs instead of patties and thinly sliced potatoes instead of steak fries along with the carrots and onions. Then I season it with Tony's Cachere's Cajon Seasoning salt and garlic powder and some pepper.

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2005
This was great especially since the two picky eaters in my house ate them. I did let them sit awhile after taking them out of the oven for the sauce to thicken a little and adhere to the wings.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2005
This was very moist and delicious. I don't care for turkey because it's always so dry but this wasn't. I did add more butter under the skin all over the turkey, sprinkled it with onion soup mix some pepper and paprika and some seasoning salt. I didn't even baste the turkey! I used the foil and removed it 45 min towards the end. Paprika gave it a pretty red color.

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
This was so scrumptous! My two year old loved it too! I changed the serving size to 3 since my husband won't eat it. I did add some pepper, salt and garlic powder for more flavor.

Holiday Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2005
I love this recipe! I actually add a layer of dark chocolate on the bottom. This is my method...melt the semi-sweet or dark chocolate morsels and spread it on the prepared baking sheet and pop it into the freezer. While that is freezing I then melt the white chocolate and the small candy pieces. I then spread it over the dark chocolate and put it back into the freezer. Break into pieces and store in container or serve.
