About this Cook
I am an American medical student in Tel Aviv. Though I have been cooking and baking since I was young, I've come to appreciate it more since I started medical school. Cooking is a great study break and provides a (literal!) taste of home.

Baingan Bharta (Eggplant Curry)
For me, this was a wonderful basic recipe. I tweaked the ingredients a bit to make my final dish more similar to that of my fav Indian restaurant. I used an entire small can of tomatoes, and to counter the acidity, I added almost a tablespoon of honey. I upped all the aromatics -- onion, garlic, ginger, garam masala, and cumin -- because I prefer a very strong flavor. Though I know that other users aren't fans of yogurt, I love it, and I think it's an important addition. I had no problem with curdling (even with the addition of extra tomatoes).

Creamy Rice Pudding
This is a GREAT recipe. By no means a substitute when you're in the mood for solid/baked rice pudding (which is a different game entirely), this recipe is one of best/easiest creamy rice pudding recipes that I've found. I've made variations with cardamom and pistachios, some with nutmeg and cinnamon -- and I've been very pleased with the results all-around.

Pizza Dough III
I'm from NY, so I have fairly specific taste in pizza dough. This is a completely acceptable recipe. It was quick and easy, and the dough has a good flavor. But for me, this dough was a bit too bready and not quite chewy enough. Like others, I wound up adding more flour that the recipe called for.
