Black Forest Cake I

This cake is wonderful!! I wondered about the batter as it was quite thick but it came out great. It didn't take as long to bake as the directions said. I did use canned cherry filling instead of the homemade and in place of the whipped cream I used the recipe for French buttercream Frosting. Everyone loved it.

Chocolate Cake Doughnuts

I must say I did not have good luck with this recipe. My doughnuts turned out to be chocolate grease sponges.This problem is not with this recipe only though I have not had good luck with any chocolate doughnut recipes I have tried.My sugar doughnuts come out fine. Does anyone have advice for making chocolate doughnuts that are not greasy?

Frosted Rhubarb Cookies

This recipe is a favorite with many people here. I do not use the cream cheese frosting though, instead I make Rhubarb Whoopi Pies out of them with my own whoopi pie filling. Scrumptious!!

Red Velvet Cake IV

I used the converter to have this recipe feed 80 and it came out excellent. Next time though I would probably sift the cocoa in with the flour and add the food coloring by itself as someone else had suggested. The paste was clumpy and too thick. I didn't use the frosting suggested but the cake was a hit!!

Pumpkin Roll Cake

I found this to be a very good recipe and fun to put together. One change I did make though and only for personal preference is that I deleted the nutmeg and added 1/8 tsp. ground cloves.

French Buttercream Frosting

This frosting is wonderful!! It has more of a texture of whipped cream. I used it in place of whipped cream in the recipe for Black Forest Cake. The fact that it is not so sweet is a hit.
