Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
Absolutely wonderful.....my hubby who does not like alfredo, loved it. I used sun dried tomato pesto, a whole bag of baby spinach, added onion in when I sauted the chicken, added sun dried tomatoes when I added the baby spinach and used 1 cup of four cheese alfredo sauce. Next time, I will cut back the sauce to 3/4 cup. But, I will make again and again! Thank you for the recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2006
This is my new Choco-chip recipe! I did not melt the butter, I only softened it..and I made these half the size the recipe calls for, and baked for 12 1/2 min....and they were the wonderful! *********I just made these a second time, and after reading reviews decided to melt the butter..BIG mistake..my cookies went flat. Maybe you should let the butter cool before stirring in the remaining ingredients, I am not sure. However, I received wonderful results from just using softened butter, which I will do from now on. Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Moist, but the taste was a let down. I was expecting more sweet...it really tasted so much like the semisweet chips, thats all I could taste.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Wonderful! A BIG hit at our football party! I wrap each smokie in 1/3 a piece of bacon. I did not use the toothpicks, they rolled nicely and stayed rolled without them. I used about 1 cup of brown sugar, and baked for 50 minutes, then broiled on high for 4 minutes before removing to crockpot set on warm setting. Will make again and again! Thank you for a great recipe!

Kitty Kat Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
Very good....tookt hem to a football party, everyone loved them, but said they tasted like Twix candy bars. I do not know what they taste like, but they are very very good. I will make again. Made three layers, used Pam sprayed on the bottom of pan, pressed down each layer lightly, also used Waverly rectangle crackers, and cooled in the fridge about 1 hour before cutting into bars. Thank you for the great recipe!

Glazed Pork Chop

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2006
A good recipe for chops! I doubled the glaze, and used brown mustard due to the fact that many reviewers claimed it rolled off the chops. I also browned chops in frying pan in a little oil before transferring to oven dish...then poured half the glaze over the chops. I baked for 10 minutes at 350...the glazed rolled off as predicted...then I turned chops every five minutes or so. I baked for another 25 minutes, then poured the other half of glaze over chops and broiled for 3 minutes.....wonderful! Thanks for such a tasy recipe! My hubby and son loved them...as did I!!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2006
Excellent recipe for crock pot stew! My husband loved it! I made a few changes. I did brown the meat in oil after dredging in flour. And I also did not have beef broth, so I used water added a dash of browning sauce. Cooking time for me in 5qt crock was 9 hrs on low. Thank you for such a easy and delish recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Very different cookie than I am used too. Tasted a little bland to me. My family loved them. I used half the cookie batter with chocolate chips, the other half with miniature reese cup chips. Also add 1 tsp of salt.Little round cookies, that taste like cake. I will make again, since the family likes them and maybe use more sugar.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2005
Very good. Leave a lot of time for prep. I mixed the cake and frosting, rolled into balls with my hands, placed on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper...then put in the freezer for 30 minutes before dipping. I used 2 spoons to coat and dip into the vanilla almond bark. I also used 3X as much almond bark than the recipe called for...then sprinkled with colored red sugar after dipping. Very pleasing to the eye..and got rave reviews from family and co-workers. Thank you for the recipe! Second making of cake balls....white cake with strawberry icing, coated with vanilla almond bark...pure Heaven! Third making of "The Balls". Red velvet cake with vanilla icing coated with vanilla almond bark...It does NOT get any better than this! I absolutely love this recipe!!!

Christmas Orange Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
These have the most original taste of anything I have ever made! I did put the "dough" in the fridge for 1/2 hr before I made it into balls. Kept my hands coated with 10x sugar while I rolled them. I also double coated with 10x sugar.

My first try at sticky buns....thank you for the recipe! I made the dough in my Kitchen Aid. Hubby and son loved them! They looked like something from a bakery. I do not like cinnamon, but Hubby took them to work and everyone wanted more.
