Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
This is a great recipe! I followed it to the letter. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because they did come out sort of crumbly on the outside. They were less like a cupcake and more like a muffin. That being said, this was the first time I've EVER made homemade cupcakes so I'm pretty sure I undermixed or overmixed. I encourage everyone to give this a try, I don't understand some of the other bad reviews.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Best turkey ever. That's all I can say. This was my first one and I followed the recipe word for word and I can't imagine a turkey being any better than this! Thanks for a great "yankee" recipe!

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
This is a great simple recipe. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was hoping for a more traditional cobbler (traditional for me atleast). I used handpicked berries and the recipe turned out fabulous. My husband complained it wasn't sweet enough, but I thought it was perfect. Thank you!

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
Awesome. Forget what all the food snobs have to say about it. Easy. Cheap. IMPOSSIBLE to screw up! I've made 4 loaves in 2 days, and did something wrong on every last one of them and they turned out good or great every time! Just a few tips though, DON'T use cheap beer, gives it a bitter after taste, try letting it sit for a bit before you pan it up and put it in the oven, makes it a bit fluffier. And try using soda, turns out just as great!

Apple Raisin Cobbler Pie

Reviewed: May 14, 2006
I was pretty skeptical at first, but this recipe came out great, had it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Yum! The only reason I gave four stars instead of five was that I did expect a crumbly top, and I didn't exactly get one. I got more of a dough I had to spread across the top. But still try this recipe. Quick, easy and delicious!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2005
These turned out great! Perfect. If you're looking for a pleasant peanut butter ball, stop here! Don't forget the gulf wax to melt with your chocolate, though! Hard to dip them if you just melt chocolate. If you don't have the wax, you can just spoon some onto a plate or wax paper and roll the ball around in it, that's if you don't mind getting messy! *edit* Just found out they don't recommend that people use the GulfWax anymore, so you can just use a tablespoon or 2 of shortening, it'll work much easier that way.

Luscious Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2005
It was quick and easy! I fed 3 adults and 2 kids! And we still had leftovers! It was a little bland though, I would add something too it, garlic salt maybe. Probably will use fewer veggies next time too, and will season them with parsley or the like. I say give this one a try if you're in a hurry, but don't expect too much from it.

Easy Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
Great base recipe, I took everyones advice and added a few things of my own. I only did a half version of the recipe, and I used cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken. I added 1.5 cups milk, french fried onions, and about a tablespoon of garlic salt to the mix. I also topped it with croutons and sharp cheddar cheese during the last 15 minutes of cooking. The only thing I will change next time is adding more rice. If you don't like your rice creamy, I wouldn't reccomend this recipe as it currently is. This will be a new staple in our home! If you like to experiment in the kitchen give this one a try! You can't go wrong!

Peanut Butter Cookies VII

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2005
Great in a pinch. The cookies were pretty good, not to sweet. I added a few tablespoons of milk also, but I think they would've been ok without it. They were a good combo of crunchy and soft, great texture. My only complaint is that they did in fact tast more like sugar cookies than peanut butter cookies. I think these would be GREAT with a few add-ins. I say give this recipe a try for a good quick cookie, but move on if you are looking for something that has alot of peanut buttery flavor to it.
