White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2014
Made a good amount, but freezing did not affect the taste. I did have to add a little water after thawing, but wonderful the second time around.

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Just finished my first piece and ZOMG, trying so hard not to go back for a second piece. Very, very good. Mine isn't "bread" at all, and is more cake-like; the batter was thin so I used a cake pan. My only complaint is that I don't think the recipe makes enough!

Roxie's Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
I usually hate it when people rate a modified recipe, but this was so darned good, I'm breaking my own rule. I substituted white flour instead of whole wheat, used 2 tbls of oil instead of melted butter, added 1/2 tsp baking powder and used 2 bananas instead of the banana and apple. Definitely a keeper recipe!

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
It's good, but definitely still needs to be seasoned with salt and pepper in the end. I did like some others and didn't blend all of the bacon, leeks or potatoes to get some texture in there.

Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
I did as someone else suggested and cooked my frozen cranberries just until they popped open before folding them into the batter. I also added about 1/4 tsp of orange extract because I didn't have the orange zest. This bread is *very* good. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Unbelievable Fish Batter

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
I'm so grateful I tasted it before dipping the remainder. This recipe is so bland, had to add milk & water to thin it out and then had to add Old Bay and hot sauce. Ended up frying the fish flour-dredged and am very glad I did.

Mother's Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2008
I used 1/2 c AP flour, 1/2 c bread flour; nutmeg and cloves instead of allspice; 1 shredded apple and 1/2 c of applesauce (because I didn't have enough applesauce); and soaked the raisins in vodka first. Mmmm mmm...

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
I followed the other reviewer's suggestions but the topping needs to be tripled. It's an ok recipe (I gave it four stars anyway), but I doubt I'll make it again without trying other recipes first.

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2007
The sauce can get a little too thick, so be careful about keeping it on the stove too long to thicken. Otherwise, this has turned into one of our all-time favorite stand by meals. Y-U-M!!

Lite Quick Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
I rated this only four stars because of how incredibly RICH this recipe was. I was barely able to eat 1/4 cup. My husband LOVED it though!!

Make Ahead French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2006
I used french bread cut into slices and only let it soak for about 30 minutes. That wasn't nearly long enough. Still good though!

Cowboy Cookies III

Yummy! I did like everyone suggested and decreased both sugars to 3/4 c and increased the amount of chips. My husband said he didn't like them THAT much, but 24 hours after I made them, there were only 3 left. Yum!!
