Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
These were fantastic. I dredged in flour before dipping into my egg wash. I also made eight chops and used the serving size for 4 to make the bread crumbs and egg wash. I still had a heck of a lot left over so if making 4 or 6 chop I recommend you cut the recipe in half so your not wasting ingredients.

Pumpkin Pie Bread

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This tastes just like pumpkin pie! Its so moist and flavorful. I bake for 30 minutes then cover with foil the remainder of the time so it will not burn. I used pumpkin pie spice I from this site and it was PERFECT with this recipe!

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This was fantastic. I used canned diced tomatoes and canned mushrooms since its what I had on hand. I also used half and half instead of heavy cream and had a bit of a problem getting it to thicken properly so I added a bit of cornstarch with water to thicken it. My oldest asked me to make it every day and gave it "eighteen hundred stars"

These had a great flavor. I used sharp and white cheddar and added a bit of powered garlic to the dry ingredients.

Pumpkin Pie Spice I

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Terrific recipe. I actually chose this one because it does not contain cloves (my family and I do not like the taste of them). This is THE BEST! I scaled it to 1 serving and used it to bake pumpkin pie bread and it was fantastic.

Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
My husband (who at first screwd up his face when I said what I was making) immediatly said 5 stars and to keep all these ingredients in the house so it can be made as a regular meal (which make 3 regualrs on my list so that says something). I omitted the cayenne pepper and hot sauce since I have 3 tiny mouths at home. I didnt want to buy sweet and sour sauce when I knew I could make it so I used sweet and sour sauce I off of this site and it was PERFECT with this. I did add more than 2 tbs to the dish probably around a 1/4 cup maybe more and served the rest on the side as we ate this over rice so it did need even more sauce than what I had added.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This sauce its AMAZING!!! I made zero changes, it tasted just like something I would get from a chinese food place (americanized of course). My suggestion is before you start subbing all the ingredients (which will obviously impact the overall flavor) make a small batch & decide for yourself. I only use low sodium soy sauce, maybe thats why my batch turned out fantastic as written. My kids & husband thought it was fantastic. I pared it with sweet and sour sausage from this site and served over rice.

Ants on a Log

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
I packed these for my kids field trip lunch box and they were thrilled. They were also the only item not to still have uneaten remnants left in the sack at the end of the day.

OREO® and Fudge Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This was a smashing success. All the measurements were right on. I broke up my cookies rather than chopped and regretted it as I was trying to spread the pudding mixture, it took a bit more work to smooth it out properly.

Creamed Eggs on Toast

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
This went over pretty well with my family. I think next time I would add bacon and maybe cut back the chicken bouillon a bit.

Slow Cooker Lime Chicken with Rice

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
The chicken was lacking in flavor even though I threw in so other spices to liven it up. The instant rice however did soak up all that flavor. I've never used instant rice before and it did cook in about 20 minutes absorbing all of the liquid. After we sat down to eat we all agreed the chicken need some sort of a gravy so I quickly heated a can of cream of mushroom soup with a smidge of garlic, minced onion and a few splashed of half and half and nuked it for 2 minuted then spooned it over our chicken. This made it so much better and probably a 4 star in my book.

Cinnamon Bread I

Reviewed: May 24, 2009
When we first tasted this we thought it bland and just okay. I voted 3 stars, my husband voted 2 stars. However this morning I cut into it to give some to the kiddos and found the cinnamon sugar butter crumb mixture actually swirled in through the center in spots where as the end piece we tried did not. I will make this again however I will I will double or maybe triple the crumb topping and alternate layering the batter with the topping to create a marble effect. Raisins would also be a really terrific addition. I notice comments of the texture of the bread so know that it is that of a muffin not traditional "bread".

Jimmbo's Garlic Knots

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
These were fantastic! 6 tablespoons seemed like way overkill in the garlic department even for a cook like me who believes garlic is better than sliced bread. I'm not sure they didn't mean 6 cloves instead. I used 2 1/2 tables spoons minced. And easy way to keep your knots neat and pretty is to first gently knot them and the pinch the loose ends together so they are not only pretty but they cook evenly. the fresh grated parm was great but it sort of fell off so I think the fake stuff might just be better. I also mixed it all together in a measuring cut before mixing in with the bread knots and it worked great.

Cheese Ravioli with Fresh Tomato and Artichoke Sauce

Slightly on the bland side though overall easy to make. Next time I would add some fresh basil and asparagus.

Kellogg's® Rice Krispies Treats® Original

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Perfect treat! I can spend hours making elaborate desserts but nothing makes everyone dance and sing the way this does. I like to add a little extra marshmallow which will keep it softer for longer as well as occasionally add some peanut butter or regular M&M's for a special treat. Be careful to only lightly press into the dish otherwise you'll end up with an inedible brick 2 days later.

fantastic recipe. I used hoagie rolls because I had some left over that needed to be eaten. I added a little fresh grated parmesan but otherwise made as stated.

Made a double batch of this 2 weeks before leaving for vacation. I dont think I can attribute any of my weight loss to this but it sure was tasty. I added chick peas.

This was terrific. I marinated them over night and everyone loved them. I think in the future though I will turn these into kabobs so you can get even more of the flavor of the marinade.

I didnt change a thing and these came over very tasty. They were a bit over cooked so my only change would be to reduce the cooking time.

Duck and Fontina Pizza With Rosemary and Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: May 18, 2009
This wasnt terrible but I didnt really enjoy the combo of goat cheese and duck together. I did however LOVE the caramelized onions with a bit of honey and the fontina cheese with the duck. I believe I will make this again however I will look for a different base.
