Basic Crepes

I made this last night for in-laws over for dinner and they LOVED it! It was a smash hit. I used everything in th recipe except the salt. I added a little brown sugar and vanilla which made it all the better. I got those flour balls but I used my hands to squash them out before putting them on the griddle. Started in the center and used circular motions to pour the batter out until.. this helped keep them thin and helps with make a more rounded crepe. I cut up bananas and strawberries, put them on the platter along side whip cream, confections sugar and melted chocolate. They all made their own crepe and it was quite delightful, very hands on and I received RAVE reviews!!! It was too good to stop and take a picture, but next time I will

Thai Spiced Barbecue Shrimp

I made this for dinner last night and LOVED it!! I'm a photographer, I usually try to take pictures of foods I enjoyed making to add to my portfolio, but I was way too hungry and just couldn't wait. I also knew from one quick taste test that I'd be making this again. Didn't have time to marinate for an hour, so I did it for 30 mins and in that short time I was able to test and enjoy each and every ingredient in this recipe. All the flavors compliment each other. I didn't have curry paste, so I used curry powder and it was lovely. I will be making this again for friends (to show off a little bit)!! LOL

Roasted and Curried Butternut Squash Soup

Did this last night and it came out great. I never knew butternut squash tasted soo good! I didn't add curry/bay leaf, but I may do that tonight but just to my serving. I didn't have yogurt, so I used a bit of half and half. Very soothing (almost Nostalgic becuase once it's blended it reminds you of baby food!! Great recipe. I'm looking for a good (quick and easy) sandwich to make to go along with it. Any suggestions??

Herb and Chicken Pasta

Tried this last night and after adding lots of garlic and seasoning, it turned out great! my sweetie LOVED it! I brought 3 chicken breasts so we both had one and there was one left over, she immediately made a plate to take the rest of it to work for lunch the next day! I didn't call it first so she won and called me at work to say THANKS AGAIN because it was sooo good. Very quick recipe but cut back on the chicken broth because it would have been to much liquid, I also used rice instead of pasta, and added some yellow and red peppers to the dish and it came out very nice and colorful with the basil and rosemary blended in. I also substituted Cajun seasoning with a pinch or two of cayenne pepper. LOVED IT!
