So I am the queen of semihomemade, so I understand that other people do to. But seriously only one Chicken & dumpling recipe were someone makes a roux?? everyone else is using cream of chicken soup, UGH!!! for health and ease everyone is using only breasts
and or parts. I love to use the Whole bird, make a kick *ss stock and then if time dictates use canned items. Guess I am more concerned with sodium than Fat. One little chicken roasted, boiled or baked can become more than one meal. in our Kitchen a chicken
or turkey carcass never gets thrown out before being boiled down w/ veggies and herbs to become a Delicious stock (plenty waiting on hand in our Freezer).
Ok enough stepping off my soap box and off to the Kitchen to throw my Chicken in a pot....
