This chili recipe really is perfect! I added a couple of chopped peppers to make it spicier.

Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
This was okay. It was a little dry for my taste but the onions had really good flavor and I liked the dollop of sour cream.

BBQ Chicken Calzones

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
I thought this was good. My family enjoyed it but I thought it was a little on the dry side. I think next time I make it, I'll use a little more BBQ sauce and maybe some sliced tomatoes would be tasty.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2007
I made this on St. Patrick's Day and my whole family loved it. The only thing I changed was that I used a glass casserole dish 8 x 8, and didn't separate the crumb layer. I put a little non-stick spray on first and layered the apples, then all the crumb layer and it turned out great! I thought it was really sweet like some of the other reviewers and I probably could have cut out some of the sugar, but it was still good. Thank you for this recipe.

This is just the recipe I was looking for! So good! I have made it twice but haven't used horseradish as I don't really like it.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
YUM! I just made these with my son and they turned out great. I rolled them into balls and dipped in cinnamon/sugar. Then had my son press with a fork and they came out of the oven soft and delicious. I cooked them for 8 minutes so they stay chewy, if you like crispy cookies, you could go for the whole 10 min.

Slow Cooker Lentils and Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
My whole family thought this was really tasty. I added the tomatoes after a few hours of cooking on high like recommended and the lentils cooked through fine. I also added onions and garlic and used chicken broth instead of beef. Very, very good flavor. As far as the looks go, anyone used to eating lentils knows that they're not the prettiest things but taste great! I made a salad and garlic bread on the side and it was delicious.

Vegetable Curry

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2005
This was okay. I added a little extra curry powder and turmeric. I found it was a little dry so during cooking, added some water. (I would have used chick.broth but I didn't have any on hand)

Very moist and delicious! I will definitely make this again. My family finished a loaf in a couple of days and we gave another to our neighbor. I wanted to add raisins but forgot this time around, will definitely try it next time.

Carol's Arroz Con Pollo

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
I use this recipe all the time. I have never used saffron in it and I think it tastes wonderful. If I don't have wine on hand, I substitute with beer. Also, I like using diced tomatoes instead of stewed.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
We made these cookies today and they were delicious. I chilled overnight and the dough was easy to work with. It got soft quickly but just chilled again while the others were cooking and everything turned out great. I doubled the vanilla as others recommended.
