Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Easy to make and it came out perfect. I didn't even think it needed frosting, so I just dusted it with confectioner's sugar and made it look pretty. ^_^. Will definitely be making this again. I work in cancer research, and when I brought this in to my lab, everyone gobbled it up and it disappeared in no time. Do yourself a favor and bake this cake! You will NOT be disappointed!!

Orange Kiss-Me Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
Soooo good and very good orange flavor! I've made this several times, and love it. The only bad thing is the mess that the orange and raisin mixture makes in your blender. And it becomes so thick and gooey that you have to keep mashing the mixture towards the blades. A pain in the butt, to be sure. But worth the effort.

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
Fantabulous pie! I've made this for holiday gatherings and other parties and everyone always loooooves it!!! When I baked it for my then-boyfriend (now-husband), he nearly exploded with joy. I like to think my baking this pie gave him a slight push towards him marrying me. *giggle*

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
Awesome, awesome, awesome pie crust! I've made it several times and it has come out well each time. I always have to add a little extra ice water, though... About 5 T instead of 3...

Babe Ruth Bars II

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
This is a great recipe, but I modded it a bit -- I stirred the melted peanut butter, sugars and corn syrup over the cornflakes, then stirred in the peanuts and *one cup of chocolate chips*. Then, I pressed everything into an aluminum-foil lined pan, which made it easier to get the cut bars out once they were cooled. I didn't melt any chocolate to pour over the top of them. They're awfully sweet, but if you have a super sweet-tooth like mine, you probably won't care. :)

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2005
This gets the top rating for ease of preparation and tastiness factor! I've made these cookies several times now -- sometimes I vary the ingredients a bit, adding nuts or chocolate chips, and frosting them with a cream-cheese based frosting if I feel like it. They come out wonderfully every time!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
Can't say that these were to my liking. I made them for my family and one was enough for all of them. The flavors and textures in this burrito aren't very appetizing. I won't be making them again.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

LOVE the name of this recipe, as well as the results! The biscuits are yummy, fluffy and are a great accompaniment to a variety of entrees. Just thinking about them makes me drool... :-)~~~

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
This bundt cake ROCKS! I've made it a few times for different crowds and got rave reviews. I'm a big Irish Cream fan, so this cake was perfect for me. Didn't use Bailey's the second time I made it, though -- used some other cheapo Irish Cream. This substitution made no discernable difference in the taste. Absolutely wonderful!!! (Plus, you can sip the Irish cream while you cook. Bonus!! *thumbs up*)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
OMG! Finally! A chocolate chip cookie recipe that results in *chewy* cookies, not crisp ones! I baked up a big batch and brought them to work. Everyone loved them. This recipe really is a winner!!!
