Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
This recipe was pretty good but I found it didn't have very much flavour at all. To be fair, I do like dishes with a lot of flavour and this might be ok for someone that likes a very bland tasting comfort food dish. After it was done, I put a little worcester sauce and ketchup on my serving and that helped a bit. Mashing the carrots also took far too much time I thought. My husband enjoyed the carrots though so I've given the recipe 4 stars instead of 3. I think next time I will choose another recipe or spice this one up and forget the carrots...Instead I'll add frozen peas and carrots.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
Wow! Another recipe that is sure to become a tradition. I followed the recipe exactly and it was so amazingly good! Great for gift giving. The cold water for the hands works great (I tired it without and it was a mess). The only problem I had was that it was a bit crumbly when I cut it but I didn't have a serated knife so that could be why. This is one of few recipes that I print off as I know it will be requested! MANY MANY THANKS! It is perfect as is.

Turtles® Candy

These were so good! The only problem I had was I ate too many to test them! ;) I used the microwave for the caramel and added a little milk. This made the caramel soft and yummy. Thanks for the recipe even though it has blown my diet! :)

Sylvia's Ribs

Thanks for the recipe! I used more BBQ sauce and less ketchup. This was a fabulous recipe...my husband never used to let me in the kitchen with my cooking but after trying this recipe he told me I was a great cook!!! :)

Spicy Sausage Soup with Cilantro

Thanks for the recipe! I absolutely adore this and make it often. At first I found removing the casings tiem-consuming but now it's a piece of cake. So much flavour and perfect for a cold winter's night!

Fried Cabbage II

This was quite good with a flavour that reminded me of perogies. I found it a tad bit greasy but will make it again.

Asian-Style Zucchini

This was a very easy, healthy recipe for a side dish. I used low sodium soy sauce. This was ready in no time - the sesame seeds were a great addition.

Chicken Jalfrezi

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
Thanks for this recipe! Quite simple to prepare and huge on taste. I was surprized how great it turned out...I used chicken with bones (backs & legs) and skin and omitted the ghee. Would probably be healthier, tastier and nicer to eat if I had boneless chicken thighs. This is one of my new favorites even though I used the wrong kind of chicken. Yum! Just an FYI/edit - Since I adore this recipe so much I made it again the next week but had no cilantro...it wasn't nearly as good! I'm not a huge fan of cilantro but it is really essential!
