My husband and I have always loved eating the lettuce wraps at Pei Wei. We thought these were even beter than the ones there. I didn't think it was a lot of prep time considering it's a whole meal. I would have doen just as much if I needed to do sides as well. Low cost and low fat; with loads of good flavor. As far as other reviews saying messy; lettuce wraps are supposed to be. I suggest two heads of lettuce just to get enough of the big leaves.

This recipe was good and added some variety to the usual speghetti and meatballs. I used regular onion for the meatballs b/c I don't think green onions cook as well. Instead of cutting the bread in cubes I figured I would keep it more like a sandwhich and cut the bread in thick slices and layered the bottom of the baking dish with the slices. I got the bread good in toasted in the oven beforehand for about ten minutes. Then I placed the meatballs on the bread and poured room temp sauce on the top. I kept in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese. I think this kept the bread from getting soggy (slicing, and toasting). I also topped the whole thing with fresh minced garlic. This was really good!

This was very yummy. The only thing I would do differently, is to blanch the tomatoes before and peel them. The skins don't bake so well in the oven.

So good! I doubled it for a family of 3/4. Plus, so I could have some for lunch the next day. I also served with focaccia and dipped it into my soup. You can also substitute chard or other greens for the kale if your grocer is like mine and didn't have any. A good short cut is to buy the bacon already cooked so that you only have to nuke it and crumble.

Such a great recipe. I took it to work for lunch the next day. I chopped the cucumbers; didn't shred. This is an entire meal, don't have to worry about sides or veggies with it. Great for a lunch in the summer, or to pack for a picnic.

These are yummy and easy to make. It also makes a lot of cookies. They are easy to make because they set up so that you can slide them off the wax paper and put into containers, yet they are soft and chewy. I did add a little more vanilla.

Oh my. This is perfect for making the night before and taking to a pool party. It transports easily and is so pretty. Plus, it keeps well too. Loved it!

Such a quick meal and very yummy. We ate these for dinner with nothing else. I don't like HIdden Valley Ranch so much, so next time I'll serve it with homemade ranch.

My husband loved this. Such a nice change from the old-fashioned chicken salad, and I can make a lot of it ahead of time. I used pre-cooked sliced chicken fajita meat as a time saver.

I have always loved these, but have had to go to a restaurant to get them. Thanks so much for showing me I can make them myself, and I think mine were just as yummy as at my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. It did take some practice rolling them. I suggest wrap them tight; you would think they tear easily but they don't. I wrapped them at the ends first so that all the good ingredients wouldn't slide out. Also, I did not have the basil required in the recipe so I used regular fresh basil and it worked out well. The fish sauce was yummy but I will omit it next time b/c it kind of makes the rolls soggy.

Dellicious. Yummy with vanilla ice cream. The butterscotch was not overpowering at all. A nice complement in flavor.

This is way better than the chicken salad my family loves to get at a local restaurant. I actually did the sauce in triplicate because my Dad loves to put extra on his salad. I poached the chicken in broth so that it would be very moist and tender and have some good flavor (for about 15 mins on med heat, halfway covered in broth or stock). I also added julien sliced red and orange bell pepper for flavor. I didn't want to turn on my oven in the heat, so I sprinkled the top with chow mein noodles after tossing and served with them on the side so ppl could add as they choose. Next time, instead of tossing the salad ahead of time with dressing, I will serve it with the dressing on the side. It caused my romaine lettuce to wilt a little too much. I was unable to find chili paste at my grocery store, so I substituted Hot Garlic Chili sauce, and it added a nice flavor without too much heat. I will def. continue to cook this as a meal in the summer since I love a one dish meal. Delicious!!

This is delicious. A little time consuming, but well worth it when cooking for company since so much of it can be prepared at a time. It also keeps well and makes a lovely lunch for me to bring to work the next day. My Dad ate thirds and fourths the last time I made this. It is now one of my most impressive meals served with Greek Salad and Baklava as dessert. A good winter time meal, and cheaper than moasaka since you need to buy eggplant, and I can't always find eggplant at my grocery store. This is def. a recipe I have made more than once. Thank you!

Sometimes I buy tilapia frozen and in a bag, and when bought this way, it can be a little bland, so this sauce is an excellent way to make extra delicious those frozen, mild fish filets you keep in the freezer. So easy and the family enjoys it.

This is such an afforadable dish that will keep well if your family doesn't mind leftovers (and I like to have them for my lunches at work). Very yummy, quick economical dinner on those worknights when you want a quick meal.

My husband absolutely loves these. I buy ground turkey and brown it instead of cooked sliced turkey. I like this recipe because most all of the ingredients are from a can, which makes it so easy to prepare. The flour tortillas often can get dry when baking, but not with this recipe since you cover it with salsa and cheese. It is very yummy and I have cooked it several times.
