Pumpkin Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

The only changes I made to this recipe was the addition of walnuts and golden raisins and instead of "real" brown sugar, I used Brown Sugar Twin. It is fabulous! It baked really well with no intervention from me at all! Although I do agree with the reviewer that said, even out the top, because wysiwyg! Of course that is fine, too, mine was not that bad, actually! The texture is great, the flavor is awesome...I am so pleased and will be using this for Christmas give aways! It was so simple to make! The cream cheese frosting, I admit I was a bit leary of. I used the recipe for Splenda powerdered sugar (I cannot have processed sugar at all , so am always looking for ways to use splenda instead) and it turned out just fine !I am just thrilled with these recipes, and they will be made again and again!

Sweet 'n Simple 'Powdered Sugar Glaze'

I haven't tried the glaze yet, my rating is purely based on making your own "powerdered sugar"...from Splenda. I used this in the cream cheese frosting for the pumpkin cake..and I gotta tell you, I was delighted and amazed! It's perfect!

Nana-Nut Bread

I made this bread last night. The only change I made, was adding a cup of golden raisins. I will bake it a few more minutes next time, the bottom was a little underdone... I am glad I didn't read the reviews first, I may not have tried this recipe. As it stands, we LOVE IT! WIll be making this for my Christmas give aways at work, fantastic! I think some of the bad reviews are because people expect this to taste like the sugar loaded variety. Sugar does more than just sweeten things, so there WILL be differences...I haven't had processed sugar in 5 years..and I for one, am absolutely THRILLED with Splenda and all the recipes here and ones I have tried on my own. This one is awesome!

Granny's Banana Bread

I have been looking for a good banana walnut bread for 6 months! Since I do not eat "sugar" I have been hunting down "sugar-free" recipes, with NO luck! Oh I have found some, but they were not good. This one, well, I liked the ingredients, and decided to try it (did not read ANY of the reviews, since I truly wanted to make my own decisions), and I used "SPLENDA" instead of sugar. I added a cup of golden raisins and the walnuts..and I waited patiently. It fluffed up to a golden brown, it slipped right out of the pan ( I did shorten the baking time to 40 minutes)...and I am more than thrilled with this recipe!!!!! Teresa, Thank you for sharing! Your Granny's recipe will live on thru more than just your family, this one is a definite keeper and one I will pass down as "Granny's banana bread" too!!!

Slow Cooker London Broil

My friends laughed when they heard I was making london broil in the crock pot! They stopped laughing when they heard how wonderfully it turned out! This recipe is the BEST! Thank you Merri, for sharing it!
