Italian Herb Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This turned out beautifully. I was looking for a good made from scratch recipe other than white bread, and this was perfect. I added a few thing though after the first rising....I put about a cup and a half of shredded cheddar in the dough, and split the dough in half. In one of the halves I put about 2 tablespoons of chopped jalopenos. I baked both loaves in the oven on our pizza stone....and then added more cheddar to the top when I was done. Turned our really good!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2008
These are sooooo good! Can't stop eating them and I have been thinking about making more ever since I made the first batch. I used a few of the suggestiongs, used taco seasoning, added salsa, and doubled the sauce.....Loved them!!!

Mark's English Sausage Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Can't even find the words to describe these other that WOW! My husband has made these a couple of times since finding the recipe, and these little things were the only thing I craved on Christmas day. Absolutly wonderful. Need to get good quality sausage, and you can roll up the meat without cooking it first. If you use cheaper/greasier sausage precooking the meat seemed to help. We have tried it both ways, and both turned out great.

Cookie Balls

The kids really liked these, I thought they were too sweet, but that is just my taste! They didn't last long in my house due to the kids!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
These are so good! I also preroasted the pecans in the oven for a few minutes, makes the candy taste just like the "professional" turtles from the store. And I would advise you to double the recipe, between me and the kids, we went through the first batch real quick!

Hash Brown Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I have made this recipe a couple of times for family for breakfast, and everyone always loves it and asks for the recipe. Very easy to throw together and pop in the oven. Also great as a side dish for dinner too!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
10 stars! I also cooked my meat (use chuck roast) in beef broth, and I added sliced green and red peppers and onion slices to the mixture. Turned out soooo good with provolone cheese on top. We put the sandwiches open faced under the broiler to let the cheese brown. The mixture freezes and reheats really well too.

Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
This was OK, but I also thought the cookie crust overpowered the taste of the cheesecake.

Cherry-Cheese Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
I made this cake for my daughters birthday and it turned out wonderful. You get the best of both worlds with cheese cake and white cake. One thing I did wrong though was I did not whip the whipping cream long enough, so the cheese cake topping was runny, but it set up well in the fridge.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Very quick and very easy to make...only thing we did different is we made the chocolate frosting from scratch...I found the first batch of this recipe a bit too sweet for my taste using the canned frosting.

When I was putting this dish together, I had my doubts about if I would like this...but the finished product was wonderful! The whole family really enjoyed it.

Herbed Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2007
It seems the only recipes that I rate are the ones I consider 5 stars...this was great...mild in flavor, but very good. I served this with salmon cooked on the grill and it turned out great..all of the kids ate it also, and since most of their meals has to be goopy with gravy or cheese, this recipe was a hit with them!

Onion Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
This was really good. In fact, I messed up and didn't pre cook the onions...ended up just putting them in the mix raw with the cheese. I cooked the bread at a lower temp (325) and cooked it a bit longer, probebly about 45 minutes, and the onions turned out tender.....tasted really good, especially with melted butter and garlic powder on top!

Almond Bark Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
Very good and VERY easy to make. I used the colored marshmellows....shouldn't have done that since those marshmellows had fruit flavoring ...so the cookies tasted a bit weird. They would have been alot better if I would have just used the regular marshmellows.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: May 16, 2006
I also did a few variations to the recipe...I used garlic cream of mushroom, and added onions and mushrooms to the soup when cooking. It was good, but I think I was just expecting something a little different. If I make it again, I will use the cream of chicken soup instead...maybe the garlic cream of mushroom soup just messed up the taste.
