Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2014
I made this last night and was really pleased with the results. The only change I made was to add 1/2 tsp of dry mustard, 1/8 tsp of cayenne and a dash of nutmeg. I used my 6 quart crock pot so I started it on high for 30 mins and switched to low for 1 1/2 hours. I stirred it at 30 minutes and then at 1 hour. From that point I left it alone. I sprinkled the last cup of cheese on it about 20 minutes before serving. Both my Hubby and I really liked the taste and texture. It wasn't mushy at all and tasted like the macaroni and cheese we've eaten when traveling through the south. Very tasty and very easy! :)

Baked Rice Pudding

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
This is the type of rice pudding my grandmother made. She was a terrible cook with one exception her fabulous rice pudding! This is supposed to be a drier pudding. We always ate it cold with cream poured over the top. I'm so glad I found this recipe...childhood is calling!

Easiest Focaccia Recipe

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
I made this last night to go with some homemade chicken soup and we all loved it. I found the recipe very easy to follow and I'm a novice bread maker.I add the water a tablespoon at a time until I had a nice soft/sticky dough (about 6 tablespoons). I did add a tablespoon of olive oil to the dough as someone else suggested. Also, when I went to shape it after the 30 minute rising I found it kept "snapping" back. So, I roughly shaped it, covered it with a damp towel and let it rest another 10 minutes and then it cooperated fully with being shaped. I brushed it with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and topped it with some kosher salt and grated parmesan cheese. It was really delicious. Next time I will be a little bolder with the toppings. I wanted to make it as the recipe suggested the first time out. I cooked it for about 12 minutes since DH likes softer breads. Really easy, really good!

Emily's Pickled Eggs

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
My husband and his co-workers just loved these! I got requests for them all summer long. I have to be honest and admit that I wouldn't even try one. But if DH is happy, I'm happy!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2008
I've been making this recipe for about 4 years now and everyone who has ever tasted it has raved about it! I also like to add some color to it by adding a can of diced green chile peppers. I have had good results doubling the recipe and baking in a 9x13 pan as well. I like to bake it until it has a nice golden color on top, usually a little longer than the recipe calls for. It is just yummy!

French Apple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2006
This was absolutely delicious! The only thing I changed was the bread, I used raisin bread because it was the only bread I had at the time. My husband was just crazy about it. It's not too sweet or heavy, just yummy! A definite keeper, will be making this again soon :)
