Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2005
I have never reviewed a recipe before but have been getting my recipes from this site for a long long time. This recipe is absolutely delicious and my husband think so as well. I didn't cook the chops as long because they were butterflied, but they remained tender which was a concern that I realized once I got them home. This will be my pork chop recipe I use always. Excellent with mashed potatoes and a vegetable.

Balsamic Bruschetta

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
I've been making this for about 3 years now and I don't think I ever reviewed this fantastic recipe. Everytime I make this it's a hit...even with my hubby who really doesn't like tomatoes. I used baguette when I made it today..toasted it...drizzled with more olive oil...put bruschetta on top...returned to toaster oven on broil with a sprinkling of mozzarella. Couldn't be more delicious or easy.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2006
This is a great recipe for many reasons. The flavors are all satisfying and rich, it will make great leftovers, and it is fast to make. I was skeptical of the sour cream but once I tried it I found it gave it just the right amount of zing. Yummy!

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2005
I made this recipe about a year ago and it is the one I always use when I make alfredo. I forgot how garlic-y it was so hopefully next time I remember to cut down to 2 or 3 cloves. I love this sauce!

Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
Amazing! I have only eaten tortilla soup twice before and I will be eating it often now! Next time I will add more onion rings and jalapenos. The overall flavor is delicious! Definitely a keeper.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2011
Delish...I made with fat free half and half and fat free whipped topping. I never missed the fat from the regular stuff. So fast and easy too. I will definitely make again.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
My husband and I both thought these were delicious...very similar to the coconut shrimp served at a favorite restaurant of ours. My hubby does not like shrimp AT ALL unless it is prepared this way and he really did enjoy it. We like the marmalade sauce just as much as the shrimp!

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
Delicious! The texture and taste is right on for the kind of deserts I like. I used baking raisins which add extra moisture and it turned out perfect. I made a cream cheese icing by using a package of cream cheese, 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, and 1/4 cup whipping cream. I can't wait to take it my aunt's for dinner tomorrow!

French Onion Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I think this is my 2nd time reviewing this because I just made this soup again yesterday and it knocked my socks off. The only change I made was a bit less wine. I can't wait to make it for a potluck because people will be blown away. So easy, so delicious. Best ever and I've had TONS of french onion soup.

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
We thought it was superb! I ended up having to bake mine for close to an hour even though I halved the recipe. Next time I'll make with onions. Yum!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2006
Great! We loved this in my house and I also suggest adding the grated parm like another member suggested. It gives it a great flavor. This will be on our rotation once we use up the frozen portions. Thanks!

Glazed Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
I thought it was absolutely delicious and my husband said he'd pass on it next time. I loved everything about it except that next time I may cut back a little on the brown sugar. I'm going to make a loaf for myself and vacuum pack it. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Can we just talk about this sauce for a second? Smooth, creamy and full of a sophisticated depth of flavor. I could have drank it. Though I was hesitant to make this recipe without baking it, it was perfect. Don't change a thing about this one folks. Yes it's an indulgence in the fat/calorie department, but it's worth it. I loved every bit of it. You have to try this one!

Beef and Parmesan Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
This is my new favorite recipe. So delicious. I too added sauteed onion and garlic and waaaaaay more cheese. I used fresh parm from a wedge. Soooo good. The person who thought to add zucchini was on top of their game because I didn't think I'd like it...but it was my favorite part! Thank you!

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
These were awesome. I took a risk and made them for a get together with our friends and their kids and even the picky kids (and one picky dad) scarfed them up! I served with guacamole, s. cream, shredded lettuce and diced tomato. They even said they were better than the authentic Mexican restaurant they frequent. I would definitely give this more than 5 if I could.

Chicken and Sausage with Bowties

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
Do not skip the red wine...it truly makes it! I use a semi-sweet red and the aroma is out of this world. I had to have cheese so I grated fresh parmesan on top and it was delicious. I also only used 1/2 the recommended amount of pasta. Delicios! Delicious! Delicious!

Chicken Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2005
I didn't make this recipe but I wanted to add what I do with mine that are very similar. I add 1 cup Miracle Whip and a couple handfuls cheddar cheese to the stuffing and chicken mixture. And I don't make that mixture of soups on the stove. I just spread 1 can condensed cream of chicken on top and 1 can on top of the shells once you line the pan with them. You may need to add a couple tbsp. water. The Miracle Whip gives it a delicious tang.

Amish Slaw

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2005
Very good but I would definitely cut back on the sugar as well. I didn't have time to let it sit over night so I threw the slaw in my Seal a Meal vacuum marinator (a great investment) and it was perfect in about 20 minutes. I also did not cook the mixture either. This recipe is very close to one I make except with mine you throw in the seasoning and the noodles from a Roasted Chicken Ramen noodle pack and an Oriental flavor one; some sunflower seeds and slivered almonds. Let it sit for an hour and voila! I will definitely make this Amish slaw again though!

Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2005
I gave this recipe 4 stars because I didn't actually make the cake...I just made the icing. I don't know if I just really like cream cheese but I had to add my entire 8-oz pkg. to make it taste good. After that it was very good!
