Irish Chicken and Dumplings

Excellent! I made this for some friends who had just moved into a new home and hadn't unpacked anything yet. We brought it over piping hot off the stove. They loved it. My husband and I tasted it before we brought it to them, and now he wants it for dinner tomorrow night! (Have to get my big pot back from our friends first!) Thanks for a permanent addition to my recipe collection!

Blueberry Salad

This was a refreshing recipe. I made it for a potluck. I only gave it four stars because I didn't *love* it. But I got many compliments on it. I would make it again.

Roasted Garlic Bread

This was really good. Next time I think I'll roast the garlic in foil or something, though, because I browned it a little too much, but the flavor was still terrific.

Maple Salmon

This was very good, but just a little too sweet for my tastes. I made this for a romantic dinner for our 14th anniversary, and my husband really liked it. But I think he would have preferred something more savory. Still, it made a great meal, and there were NO complaints that night! :-D

Holiday Dressing

WOW!! This dressing was the hit of our large THanksgiving gathering at my church! I was skeptical because I've never liked sausage in dressing, and I'm used to my mom's southern cornbread dressing, but this was terrific! I used sage sausage. THe only change I'll make in the future is to use less salt, maybe 1/2. Also, make sure you don't use sweetened cornbread mix. I checked the ingredients on all the boxes at the store for no sugar. Hard to find! Thanks for this delectable recipe!

English Walnut Pie

This was terrific! I got so many compliments on this pie. Everyone loved the way it looked most of all! I had planned on making more pecan pies, but ran out of pecans and made this instead. Now I think I have to bring this every year for THanksgiving.

Caramel Pecan Pie

This was so delicious! I made 3 kinds of pecan pies from this site, (for a large THanksgiving gathering) and this one was my favorite. I only wish I could have gotten to it before it went cold! I'll have to make another one for just my family. Thanks!

Pecan Pie V

Excellent! I made 2 of these for a large THanksgiving gathering at my church, and they were delicious. People were hesitant at first, since we are in the deep south and we *know* our pecan pies here, but once they tasted it, it was a winner!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Cream Corn Like No Other

This was very delicious! I made this recipe to use in a corn casserole recipe from this site. I only needed a cup of it for the recipe (which turned out marvelously!), so my family and I ended up eating the rest alone. The only thing I didn't like was the whole kernels of corn. But I suppose one could chop them a bit. Also, might try cornstarch next time instead of flour. Still, delicious!

Candy Coated Pecans

I'm not a fan of nuts, but I made these for my husband to take to work. He and all the guys loved them. I thought they tasted ok. I prefer my mom's recipe that you make on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet.

Honey Bun Cake I

I brought this to a church potluck, and initially it was getting passed over because it *looks* like an ordinary coffee cake. But once a few people tried it, word of mouth spread, and the cake was gone in no time! Several requests for the recipe with this one. The only thing I changed: I made the full recipe for the glaze, but I used less than 1/4 of it. Just a light glazing while warm was perfect. I think any more than that would be overkill.

Golden Yam Brownies

Wow! I was so surprised by how well these turned out! I brought them to a ladies' gathering, and luckily had the foresight to bring the recipe with me. I ended up copying it for everyone. They were SO moist!! And with no oil...amazing! THanks for this incredible recipe. It's a keeper!

Gooey Butter Cake I

This was a delicious cake! I only gave four stars, though, because the recipe needs a little tweaking. The only change *I* made was to bake it for less time (almost 35 minutes instead of 45), and while that helped make it "gooey-er", it was still too dry and crumbly around the edges. No matter, the rest was incredible! Our unexpected company enjoyed it with us, and I was so relieved that it was such a hit. Will make again, for sure.

Pumpkin Crunch Cake

This is a delicious recipe. I've made it 3 times since finding it. I gave it 5 stars, but I think in the future I will cut down on the sugar somehow. It's VERY sweet.

Baked Ziti IV

Wonderful! I made this recipe for my church's potluck supper. It made a huge amount; filled to the brim my big Princess House lasagna pan, which is 16x12 and 3 1/2" deep! I took home an empty pan, and had several requests for the recipe. The only thing I changed was: I added bell pepper with the onion, and I added an extra layer of provolone, along with the mozzarella. Seth, thanks for a great recipe!
