Rich and Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
This was a bit of work but very good! I generally followed the recipe though reduced the amount of red pepper flakes and added extra garlic. I also used Dijon mustard instead of regular mustard. My husband really enjoyed this dish!

Beer Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
Really easy and very good! I was trying to use up some non-alcoholic beer and it worked out just fine. I increased the sugar as recommended by others.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2012
Yum! I wasn't going to tell my husband what was in the brownie but he found some green and wondered what it was. I thought they were really good...I added a couple tablespoons of applesauce because the batter was really dry and crumbly and threw in a handful of chocolate chips. I'd make these again!

Easy Three Cheese Manicotti

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2012
This makes A LOT! I added a half cup of shredded zucchini (because I had some to use up) and a couple of chopped up sausages (for my meat loving husband). It was pretty easy and good.

Southwestern Chicken and White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2012
Very Good! I put my partially thawed chicken breast in the crock pot at the same time I put everything else in. When the chicken was done, I shredded it and returned it to the crock pot. I also added an extra cup of broth and an extra cup of salsa. I'd make this again!

Grill Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
I thoroughly enjoyed this pizza...I took others' recommendations of cooking it for five minutes on the grill, removing it and flipping it to put on the toppings and putting it back on the grill. So good!

No-Noodle Zucchini Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
This was pretty good...I took another reviewers' recommendation to salt and cook the zucchini for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. I split it into two 8X8 pans and froze one for later.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2012
Good but not spectacular...I used a full can of pumpkin and applesauce in place of the oil. I'll try something different the next time I am looking to make pumpkin muffins.

Southwest Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
My husband didn't find this dish all that exciting but I thought it was pretty good. I used fresh corn and added lots of onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder and extra cumin. As another reviewer suggested, I served it over Onion Rice (from this website).

Oatmeal Craisin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2012
Great cookies! I added a few sprinkles of cinnamon but otherwise followed the recipe. I ended up having to put some of the dough in the fridge for a few days to bake later and they still came out very good.

Jamaican Jerk Dry Rub

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
I scaled the recipe back to 20 servings to use for a whole chicken. It was very good though I would probably reduce the cayenne pepper next time since it was fairly spicy.

Sesame Beef

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2012
I love easy but good recipes. I doubled the sauce and added broccoli, mushrooms and red onion to the stir fry. I let the beef marinate for close to six hours. YUM!

Mashed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2012
Simple and good soup. Mine was a little thinner than I'd like but I could have put more mashed potatoes in it.

Honey-Raisin Quick Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
This bread is okay...I used raisin bran cereal and then added an additional half cup of raisins. Some reviewers said it was too sweet though I found it had just the right amount of sweetness.

Nice, light scones. I used dried cranberries in place of the raisins though otherwise followed the recipe. I used my food processor and it made the assembly process easy!

Carol's Cinnamon Waffles

These have really good flavor. I made the recipe as stated though do want to note to make sure to cook them long enough to get that crispy consistency. Mmm!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
I halved the recipe and used two eggs; instead of raisins, I used craisins. It's good and my two year old was very happy to help tear the bread in pieces.
