This soup is AWESOME! After making it I thought I bought a $10 bowl of soup at a fancy restaurant! Definitely a winner!

Turned out great! If you only have large marshmallows, there are 8 large marshmallows to 1 cup of miniature marshmallows

Cream Cheese Brownies III

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
I really enjoyed this recipe...a new twist. I used 8oz cream cheese for a 9x13 pan which was a perfect amount. Other reviewers mention that it's more cake-like. I still think it's good. Maybe the cook who submitted it baked at a high altitude where cakes & brownies turn out flat.

Williamsburg Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
WOW! I was amazed at the flavor and how simple they were to make! I now have a good recipe that uses just egg whites. I never know what to do with them after making homemade noodles. I do suggest letting the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before removing them because the bottoms seem to fall out of them. I will make again!

Brownie Mix in a Jar II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
Excellent recipe! This is the first jar mix I have made and I learned very quickly that spaghetti jars don't work because they are too small. I added lib really quickly by putting the nuts in a baggie of Syran-Wrap and hanging it off the side with the same ribbon that held the instructions. I thought it looked lovely!

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
This recipe is pretty much like apple butter. I wouldn't recommend eating this plain because there is just way too much sugar in it. I suggest using it in oatmeal as another reviewer suggested. I make about 50 quarts of applesauce a year and found that sugar never needs to be added if you use sweet apples to begin with and a cinnamon stick per quart is sufficient enough for spice. Sweet apples: gala and fuji

Gingerbread Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
The only thing I did in addition to the recipe, was refrigerate the dough 1/2 hour before rolling it. This seems to work with all of my cut-out cookies. Because of this, I didn't add additional flour like some other reviewers suggested. Fantastic recipe!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
I doubled the recipe as others suggested and it fit perfectly in the graham cracker pie crust. I'm not sure if this was supposed to happen, but the filling ended up having chunks---it looked like I had crushed oreo cookies in it. I noticed this started forming when I put the 3rd egg in. In the end, it tasted smooth with the occasional chocolate chunks which tasted just fine to me and the guests. Yes, I will make this again!

Broccoli Soup

This wasn't too bad but I think I would have liked it without the nutmeg. I definitely recommend tasting it before adding the nutmeg. I made cornbread to accompany the soup & found it a good contrast.

Easy recipe that can include other vegetables. I added a tomato and okra to mine. Overall a very good flavor without all the cheese that so many other recipes include.

Lettuce and Tarragon Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2011
It was good but not very hearty if you know what I mean. I used spinach instead of lettuce to give it more nutrition. If you have my luck, you'll have green soup splattered all over the kitchen when you use the blender...it's fine with chunks. I put my spinach through the food processor before I added it to the pot.

Green Risotto with Fava Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Excellent! I was a bit hesitant to try, but I'm happy I did! I used 1/2 cup brown rice instead of risotto because that's what I had on-hand. My brown rice was supposed to be cooked for 35 minutes but I added it to the butter/onion mixture after 20 minutes of cooking. I only added 1.5 cups hot chicken broth. The proportions were perfect and everything tasted great! Thank you!
