Penne and Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
A fantastic dish! YUM! Just as good as in the restaurant...costs about the same but your "start-up" ingredients can go towards anything else. It almost tastes like a creamy tomato soup...Delicious!

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2005
I didn't care for it too much the 1/4 cup of chili powder drowns all the other flavors. Adding pasta to it, made it a little more tolerable

This soup is AWESOME! After making it I thought I bought a $10 bowl of soup at a fancy restaurant! Definitely a winner!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
Surprisingly very good, I thought it may be too overpowering with the salsa or too bland with the black beans, but a exceptional complemen to one another!

A very good mac and cheese recipe! Creamy and delicious! We added some green peppers to it for a twist. I love the no baking aspect!

Veggie Oven Chicken

I used chicken tenders and there wasn't much grease. I thought it was good but I'd add some green vegetables to add flavor.

Chickpea and Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2006
I tried using fresh tomatoes and less water. I would defintely try the canned tomatoes next time because it tasted like tomatoe flavored water with garbanzo beans.

Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
This wasn't too bad but I think I would have liked it without the nutmeg. I definitely recommend tasting it before adding the nutmeg. I made cornbread to accompany the soup & found it a good contrast.

Baked Salmon I

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Overall very good but I agree with other reviewers that one spice is more overpowering than others. I used a mix of wild rice and white rice because I didn't have brown rice. It turned out really well. My salmon turned out kind of dry (I bought it fresh) so I made a mustard & honey dipping sauce mix to give it a jucier texture and honey-taste that I love on my salmon.

Williamsburg Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2007
WOW! I was amazed at the flavor and how simple they were to make! I now have a good recipe that uses just egg whites. I never know what to do with them after making homemade noodles. I do suggest letting the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before removing them because the bottoms seem to fall out of them. I will make again!
