Melt - In - Your - Mouth Shortbread

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Very yummy, as others have said, these are best if you let it sit to cool BEFORE removing them from the cookie sheet, and also, they taste WAY better the next day. Mine was crumbly so I added 1 tsp almond extract and it did the trick. Wonderful cookies, will make again.

Classic Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
these are delicious, I replace the raisins with xmas colored chocolate chips(bad idea) and they stuck in the pan even though I sprayed them well, they still tasted really good, will make these again for sure

Hearty Vegetable Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
This was fantastic! I added a zucchini to it for extra veggies. Also made it in 2 small "loaf" size to freeze half. Only ended up using half the noodles and had a bit too much of the ricotta mix but the flavor of it all is wonderful.

Cheddar Cheese Straws

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2012
These were just ok, other then the cheese its very bland. I used 1tsp paprika and sprinkled parm cheese on them too...thinking garlic powder and parsley or something like that would give it flavor. Took 10min to bake, the ones on the edge were crispy and the center ones were more like thin bread. May or may not make again.

Authentic German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
Very good. I omitted the bacon and used vegetable oil instead. I baked the potatoes whole then cooled before peeling and the skin peels right off. I cool completely then cut into small cubes. Refrigerate everything together over night for best results.

Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2012
After reading a few reviews I decided to try it and well I didn't have any garlic salt so I didn't have to worry, all I did was add a little more garlic. Tastes very good. If your hesitant just don't add the garlic salt.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
This was such an easy recipe to do, I followed the others reviews by doing 3c confec sugar, 2c brown sugar, 1c peanut butter. It turned out very smooth and not hard. I used cling wrap to line the pan and it made it so much more easy to take out with no fuss. I will have to boil it just a tad longer next time cause it was just a little too soft. I was however a great hit with everyone who tried it. Thank you for sharing

Waffles I

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
I just made these with my girls and it was very easy to make. I had never tried making waffles before and I have to say I am very happy with this recipe. I do have to add though that once everything is mixed you should let it sit for about 10 min before baking it. I have an old waffle iron and it baked up in 5 minutes flat. I added mini chocolate chips to them and they are very delicious. My girls are asking me to make more already. I froze some of the leftovers and will pop them in the toaster for breakfast. Thanks for the great recipe!

Blueberry Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
Well I was really excited to make this because of all the good reviews I saw. I followed the directions but added a little more blueberries (just used all I had). The sugar coating turned out good and didn't stick at all. I might of over baked a tad cause its a little on the dryer side but its ok. My only problem is that its very sweet, I didn't notice any reviews mention this but 2 cups of sugar is too much for me. I will make again but will reduce the sugar by half.

Cheesy Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: May 24, 2011
These are fantastic! I followed the recipe but omited the red pepper flakes cause I had none and glad I did. I ended up using about 1/4 cup of bread crumbs just to make it easier to form and I made mini chicken burgers. It was a hit with 2 of the 3 kids, and the only reason the 3rd didn't like them to much was cause they're spicy. I will make these again but reduce the pepper and italian seasoning. It says alot when my pickiest eater wanted seconds and even have them for lunch! Thank you for the great recipe Raquel. oh just wanted to mention though that it doesn't really taste cheesy so if your looking for cheesy these aren't it, but they're still fantastic and easy to make ahead and freeze.

Tina's Shortbread Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
WOW is the ratio WAY OFF, I doubled the recipe and ended up with 80 tbsp size cookies, but all is good because these are very yummy, buttery and chocolaty. I followed the recipe pretty close, I didn't have any chocolate chips so I just used chopped up Easter bunny and it was nice. Next time I think I'll add a tsp of vanilla or almond extract to add just a little more flavor but other then that very good and will make again.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
WOW YUMMY!!!!! was looking for a different banana bread then my usual and thought this one(with sour cream instead of milk and oil) would be great and I was not disappointed. I didn't add cinnamon and used maple extract and its so yummy! I got one large loaf and 12 large square muffins. I will make this again but I will reduce the sugar as I find it really sweet. I also think that using maple extract added an extra yum to it. Thank you for sharing this great recipe.....Oh I forgot to mention, I baked everything at 350, muffins for about 30 min and the loaf was 75 min.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
These are really bland and hard to swallow, if it wasn't for the chocolate chips in it it would taste like baking powder (which I reduced, thankfully, 4tsp seemed like way to much), I even added vanilla cause it seemed to be missing something. I'm sorry but will not be making these again

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2011
YUMMY!!!!! these are so fantabulous, if you love chocolate and don't want to go over board these will definately satisfy that craving. Only thing I had issues with is putting it in the fridge, I left it there for a few hours and when I went to roll them up they were really hard, I would say just leave it on the counter to cool

Apple Squares

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
this is a very easy recipe to follow and my 6yr old was able to do it almost all on her own. I followed the directions minus the nuts and topping, I found it sweet and not very appleish. I added 3/4 cup of apple which was 1 full apple, next time I think I might shred an extra apple to make it more appleish, recude the sugar by half. This does mix up like a thick dough but the end result is like a brownie and with my alterations, more apples less sugar, it will be a healthy snack for my kids to bring to school. Thank you for sharing with us

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
I'm rating this a 4 for now just because it just came out of the oven and was still warm when I tasted it. I did try to follow the recipe but after reading the disappointed reviews I decided to reduce the liquid, so I just didn't add the pineapple juice but added the pineapples. There is lots going on with this cake with the carrots, raisins, pineapple, and coconut. I think next time I'll omit the coconut, just doesn't seem to fit in the recipe like a traditional carrot cake. still very tasty and moist. I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem but I ended up with LOTS of batter, I was able to make a bunt cake and an 8" square cake. Now my cake needs to cool down and rest for the night and I will ice it with a nice cream cheese icing. Mmmmm

Sucre a la Creme

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2010
YUMMY!!! I love these! I did mine a little different, I did it on the stove with a candy thermometer and boiled until it reached 240F. I also reduced the white sugar to 3/4 cup and added 1/4 cup maple suryp, SOOOO GOOOOOOD. when I was mixing it after boiling it started getting stiffer after about 4ish minutes so I just poured it out in a pan and voila!

Banana Oat Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2010
Just made these and I followed some of the suggestions. I did half brown and half white sugar, added a full tsp vanilla and added about 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips. They turned out nice, made 12 muffins as indicated. I left out the baking soda just cause it didn't seem like it needed it and some people complained that it tasted like baking soda. Just a little tip for those who said there muffins turned out to dry, you can't over mix muffins, just mix till its just mixed in, over mixing over works the dough making them hard and dry.

Chocolate Mint Sugar Cookie Drops

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
These cookies were interesting to make, I don't think I ever made cookies with oil and I don't think I ever will again. They were really too soft to roll into ball and after baking the first tray they got really sticky. I found they tasted more like a weird cake then cookies. Sorry but I don't think I'll make these again, probably just make my regular chocolate chip cookies and add the mint chocolate chips. Oh and I got 72 cookies using a tsp.

Chewy Peanut Butter Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
Just made these and while baking it smelled really good but I'm a little dissapointed with the outcome. They do taste ok but after baking for 27 min the bottom burned a little but the center is kind of still under cooked. I also find it doesn't really taste like much, needs more peanut butter and the vanilla that it calls for is useless, don't taste it at all. I'm glad I added chocolate chips otherwise it would be a big waste. Sorry probably won't make again, its a good idea though
