To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
Still stuck in the snow storm and still baking.... I filled the muffin tins to the top (4) and they spilled over. I used frozen blueberries and did not like the crumb mixture on top. I'll make again, but I will not use the cinammon crumble. Thank you.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I also used butter instead of shortening and 1/4 cup of white sugar. I made these cookies with reduced fat peanut butter and they taste AWESOME. Yumm! Thank you. Will make again.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I used 7 large Granny Smith apples, but I think 6 would have been ok. I also added a dash of allspice and vanilla to the sauce. I poured the sauce over the apples and brushed the crust with egg whites. Thank you, Grandma Ople! The recipe was simple and I will make it again and again.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
REVISED: I made this fudge the other day without key ingredients... stuck in a snow storm and I thought it would be ok. Wrong. I had to throw it out. I'm stuck in another snow storm and made it as directed - MUCH BETTER. Thank you so much!

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I had this recipe saved for two years and well, I'm glad I saved it. The Candied Walnuts are awesome. I will make again. Thank you.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
My pound cake just came out of the oven and it tasted great. It tastes sweet with a hint of vanilla. It's a firm pound cake and a crispy top. I didn't use almond extract and I don't think the cream cheese made any difference. Thank you. I will make this again.

Farmhouse Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I purposely altered this recipe to better suit my taste and because I was half asleep when I found the recipe this morning. :o) I used the meat from a rotissere chicken, frozen vegetables and cheddar cheese. I didn't use any salt, but I think it needs just a tad. I made this for the guy I'm dating and we both loved it. Thank you. Will make again. Go Pats!

Ibby's Pumpkin Mushroom Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
I altered this recipe and used button mushrooms and yellow onion. I also added a splash of Pastene Cream Sherry and chopped pecans. I seasoned with s&p, garlic. It's a sweet stuffing and everyone loved it. Thank you.

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2007
My muffins just got out of the oven and they taste great. They taste even better than the lower fat pumpkin muffins I made and reviewed. I made the following changes: I used applesauce instead of butter 1/2 cup Splenda & 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 egg whites 1/2 cup skim milk 3 Tablespoons of Vanilla Extract I did not sprinkle sugar on top The muffins taste great for a lower fat, sugar, cholesterol muffin. I'm glad they don't taste any better cause it would be hard to have just one. Now that I have this recipe, I will never again buy a muffin at a coffee shop. THANK YOU.

Addictive Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
The muffin tops look very dry, but they're moist on the inside. They taste fine for a low-fat, low-sugar muffin. I used splenda and egg substitute. Thank you. I will make again.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
I breaded and fried chicken cutlets in olive oil. I added crushed pecans to the sauce which by the way was a lot darker than the picture. I thought it was just ok. I poured the sauce over the chicken, garnished with fresh parsley and slices of orange. I'd make this again, but I don't think it's out of this world. Thank you.

Pecan Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
I think the sauce could use a little less dijon mustard and more honey. I would also add a teaspoon of cornstarch next time to thicken it up. I thought this recipe was ok, but it needs something.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: May 15, 2007
I breaded and fried chicken cutlets and set aside. I made the sauce and left out the green onion, rice vinegar and ginger. I did add more orange juice. I poured the sauce over the chicken and garnished with orange slices. Awesome! Thank you.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2007
I left out the steak sauce and used saltine crackers instead of Ritz. I've never used onion soup mix in a meatloaf and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It made all the difference. Loved it. Thank you.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
I used parsley instead of oregeno and didn't use marsala wine. I used Pastene Cream Sherry only. You can find this particular sherry at some liquor stores. The marsala was fabulous! Thank you.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

My changes to this recipe: left out chicken and onions. sprinkled with onion powder and dried rosemary. cooked vegetables in saucepan with butter instead of boiling them. used light cream instead of milk. brushed egg whites on crust. Fabulous. Thank you. Happy New Year

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2006
In my opinion, the chicken tasted fine, but the lemon butter sauce needs a little something. The butter flavor was prominent while you could just barely taste the lemon. Thank you.

Corn Chowder I

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2006
I had this saved in my recipe box and eagerly waited for the winter months to arrive. I took the suggestions of others and made it with part chicken broth and part skim milk. It was unappetizing. My suggestion would be, if you try this recipe, stick to the original - perhaps it is better. Thanks, but no thanks.
