Great recipe! I just made a double batch for our son's kindergarten class, but used Cheerios since I didn't have Chex. I added the butter as others suggested. I didn't measure the sugar, but I know I used at least twice what original recipe callled for. Maybe its because I used the Cheerios?? Anyways, great recipe! Next time I'll make sure I have the Chex on hand!

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

GREAT tea! I use a little less sugar than called for, just a personal preference. Others have given a less than perfect review because of the amount of sugar called for, but its totally a personal thing. Some people like regular soda pop, some like diet. Some people like candy bars, some don't. This is a great recipe! Use your own judgement. You know if you like things sweet or not! :)

Rosemary Chicken Stew

VERY good! A friend and I exchange meals once a month and this was a hit with both our families. Even the kids liked it! I didn't use all the chicken it called for, for a double batch I used about 3.5 pounds. Also, I let it simmer most of the day. This recipe is very good! I served it with a balsamic vinegar green bean salad and garlic biscuts, and topped meal off with some chocolate cookies! Yummy!

Vegan Split Pea Soup I

I LOVE this recipe! I make a double batch of this soup for my friends when they have new babies, some of my friends can't wait to give birth so they can get some more from me! Here are a few of my alterations-I ommit the celery, use a few cups of chicken broth in place of a bit of water, and add the spices after the first boil so the flavor can grow and infuse as it cooks. Also, I start the soup first thing in the morning so that it simmers for 8-10 hours before supper. It really is a great recipe and it freezes well for a couple of months. Thanks Deborah for sharing this great recipe!
