Jambalaya

Reviewed: May 24, 2014
Like others, we added some shrimp, skipped the file and added a bit more tomato. Because we like the hotter, the better, my son chopped up 2 scotch bonnet peppers with the bell pepper. This was one of my favorite dishes he has made for me yet!

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
This was only the second time I have ever made Turkey and this came out just perfect! It was flavorful, moist with crispy skin. My toughest critics all gave it great reviews. The only change I made was stuffing the cavity of the bird with 1 1/2 lemons, fresh rosemary sprigs and some unpeeled garlic cloves. These also were put on the plate for beautiful presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Tomato and Basil Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2011
I made this for my book club and everyone loved it. Like others I made a few minor modifications. Used 1 tsp minced garlic with the onion which I diced. Used 1/2 and 1/2 instead of milk and a mixture of fresh and dried basil I also sprinkled fresh basil on the top before baking. I found the timing on the recipe to be perfect. All in all, really enjoyed this recipe!

Lemon Blueberry Drop Scones

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
Like others this was my first attempt at making scones, they couldn't have been easier. My family really liked them but did think they could have been "sweeter". I had to add extra glaze, maybe my blueberries weren't that sweet? (I did use fresh). For those who say they were like muffin tops? I found that it was easy to "mold" the dough and made them in triangles like Starbucks. Am not sure what happened, I used a heaping tablespoon and was able to make 19 scones and felt they were good sized. Will definitely make these again.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
This was excellent! I made this for a potluck breakfast and everyone loved it. Since I have a nut-free home I omitted the nuts but it turned out fine. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. Thanks for posting this

Chicken Breast Cutlets with Artichokes and Capers

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
My 13 year old son found this recipe and made it for us! It was amazing, I normally don't take seconds or thirds of anything but I did that night! While I think it was perfect as is, we thought sundried tomatoes would be a good addition. Will definitely be making this again.

Spicy Lentil Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2009
I made this for my book club tonight and everyone really liked it. Like many reviewers, I also added salt. I did not have a problem with it being too soupy and was going to reserve the water but didn't need to. The only thing I added that I didn't see anyone else use, was a dash of ground ginger, which went very nicely with this. I am definitely going to make this healthy dip again!

White Chili with Ground Turkey

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
This is one of my most favorite recipes. My mouth waters thinking about it. Don't be put off by it's looks, I do admit it doesn't look all that appetizing. By the way, to me, the cinnamon makes the dish, so I don't suggest omitting it. Give this one a try!
