About this Cook
I am engaged (have been for years....can't say that "IIIIIIdoooooo", one fantastic daughter, 3 great grandchildren, was a skydiver and retired after 350 jumps, rode a harley for years, love any type of adrenalin type hobbies, and I absolutely love to stream fish for trout in Northern California.
My favorite things to cook
Even though I'm French, my favorite is Mexican food. I love the taste, the spices and textures. I also love to bake and get most of my recipes off
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandkids always want garlic mashed potatoes. They don't care what else I make as long as it includes the potatoes. Christmas always includes French Gallets (cookie made in a special iron), homemade fudge and baklava.
My cooking triumphs
Making baked goods for everyones birthdays in the sales dept at the TV station I work at.
My cooking tragedies
Many...where do I begin, but it never gets me down...I just keep trying!

Slow-Cooker Posole
I cooked the pork roast the day before and roasted a chicken. The next day, I chopped up the pork and chicken, added the remaining ingredients and let it cook on low in the crock pot for about 5 hours. (I also used chicken broth instead of water) I served it by putting a large spoonful of white rice in the bottom of a bowl, posole next, then added sliced guacamole and a dolop of sour cream. Very good on a cold day. I brought some into work for lunch and everybody said the smell was amazing (they wanted some). Thank you for this great recipe!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread
Made this, but in a bundt pan. Turned out great. Didn't change a thing. Added frozen blueberries, but forgot to dust them in flour so they were all at the top of the cake (when I turned it out of the bundt pan). I have more zucchini so I'll make another and freeze it. Yum. Thanks for this recipe!
