Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
We made this with chickn strips (faux chicken) and used almond milk instead of cow's milk. All four of my kids loved it which is extremely rare. So rare, I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Crispy Barbequed Tofu Slices

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
These were a huge hit at our house. We used Ener-G Egg replacer instead of egg white and doubled the egg white/barbeque mixture that you dip them in. Even our pickiest kids ate these.

Alissa's Vegetarian Lentil Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I hate to do this but we really disliked this lentil loaf. We are a family of six vegetarians and usually the kids are hit or miss but my husband and I are pretty flexible but not one single person liked it.

Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
I have four kids and in the rare event (and if you have kids, you know how rare this is) that all four of them like it, then it's a certified success! We made this without the red pepper flakes. We stirfried a bag of frozen stirfy vegetables and some Gardein Beefless Tips (we're vegetarian) and it was a big hit! It's a keeper - thanks for sharing!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
I made this on a day that I had 8 kids at my house ages 4 through 11 and they all ate it and loved it - what are the chances? It was very good. We made it with fresh basil and next time, I'll probably experiment with reducing a oil.

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
I like this salad because I can eat it straight as a lunch instead of like a salsa on chips. It's very tasty. We have been making it once a week and eating it for lunch a lot. It's a great protein meal for vegetarians.

Spicy Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
I love to eat black beans and rice and this is a great recipe for this. I like my food spicy so I added in a whole fresh Jalepeno with seeds and a chopped onion. I doubled the hot sauce also. Instead of soaking the beans overnight, I put them in the Crock Pot before I went to bed and let them cook all night (don't tell my mother or she will yell at me for leaving an appliance on while I slept). However, the beans are harder this way. I'd soak them if I wanted them softer.

This was really good and my young children liked them also. I added some chunks of cheddar into the potato which was yummy.
