Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
This is the best pizza sauce! I don't add the anchovy paste because its not something I keep on hand. I do add about 1/2 teaspoon of fennel seed which makes it even better.

Famous Japanese Restaurant-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
This is it! OMG! I've been gooding to my favorite Hibatchi Grill specifically for this salad dressing when I get a craving. Now I can make it at home anytime. I gave this recipe 4 stars instead of 5 because I used sesame oil in place of the peanut oil and that gave the exact smell and flavor of the dressing I get at the restaurant As soon as I poured it in and smelled it, I knew that was it. My dressing is a little more runnier than I would have liked so I think I'll eliminate the water next time. I skipped the salt and pepper and didn't bother with mincing anything. Its not exact, but its a darn good substitute. Maybe it needs more ginger??? I'm not sure but I'll definitely be playing around with this recipe some more. I used all fresh ingredients and followed the recipe with the exception of the sesame oil and ommitting the salt and pepper. I also used rice vinegar because I couldn't find rice WINE vinegar. Thank you for posting this!

Apple Dumplings I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
I've used this recipe for quite some time but with some minor changes. I cut down on the water. I also put a dab of butter on the apple and sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg prior to wrapping. I good idea for finger food appetizers is to slice the apple into 8 wedges. Use the can of croisants and roll each apple slice in each of the croisants. I roll the triangle shaped croisants out just a tad bit and start with my apple on the wide end of the triangle and roll up to the pointy end. These got rave reviews at my halloween party (we called them witches fingers) and they were easy to eat without utensils.

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2006
This was just ok. Not bad, but not great. Didn't care too much for the biscuits. I like to make homemade and they don't take much time. Its great for a quick meal though.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2006
I make a recipe very similar to this. I use diced chicken breasts. I also add tons of veggies like potatoes, carrots, cabbage and green beans. I use a whole pkg of taco seasoning and add a can of green chilis. I use chicken broth rather than cream of chicken soup as other reviewers suggested. Good and hearty meal.

Holiday Wreaths

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2006
I used these for a baby shower for twins. I used pink and blue food coloring and shaped them into baby booties and pacifiers. You can use molds and press the mixture into the mold as well. They were a hit.

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2006
The 5 star rating on this recipe didn't lie!! It was wonderful! My friend who hates mushrooms, ate every single one. You definitely need to add more marsala wine as there was not enough gravy at all. I only made 2 chicken breasts with this recipe had increased marsala wine to 1 cup. We still ran low since it cooked down so much. I will add 2 cups next time. The recommendation to let it simmer for 30 minutes was perfect. If you don't the wine doesn't cook down. YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Served over angel hair pasta and used canned mushrooms.

Enchilada Casserole III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
Sorry, None of my family liked this. We ended up throwing it out. Not much flavor and the corn tortillas were soggy and mushy. I'll have to keep looking for an enchilada recipe.

Margaritas

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2005
If you like TGI Fridays margaritas, you will LOVE these. TGI Fridays is my favorite margarita place. I've been looking for a recipe that was similar for a long time. The secret is the Limeade (which Fridays uses as well). YUMMY!!!!

Perfect Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
This turkey got rave reviews from my entire family at Thanksgiving. I was a little worried about the wine, but it was wonderful. I have to agree with adding more vegetables (I didn't and wish I had) the carrots had such a wonderful flavor. The vegetables in the turkey cavity didn't cook all the way and were still a little crunchy. I suggest adding more carrots around the outside of the turkey. You'll be disappointed if you don't. The gravy was really good as well. Definitely a keeper. Thanks!
