Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2014
Very well favored, easy to mKe, but will definitely need to double the recipe next time. Also added some extra milk. I used a lot of broccoli to make up for the other "not so healthy" stuff :)

Linguini with Broccoli and Red Peppers

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2011
I usually just look for recipes to use as a guideline, and this one looked pretty good. I used regular thin spaghetti instead of linguini and used half of a green pepper, half of a red pepper and half of a yellow pepper along with the broccoli to give it more color. I used some italian seasonings while sauteeing the peppers and added a bit of parm cheese to the mix. I didnt see anything about tossing the pasta with oil, so i did that separately and then combined it with the veggies. It was really delicious. My SO and kids (3 years old and 10.5months) all devoured it! I will be making a rendition of this again in the future.

Chex® Muddy Buddies®

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
YUM is all i can say with this! I was wanting something like this for a while..... I made it. Unfortunately, I started getting indigestion after eating this. BUT, I could NOT get enough of it, regardless of my indigestion. A week later, I made another batch for a gathering. AGAIN, I got indigestion from it. I realized it was the peanut butter that was doing it. I also come to find out, I was PREGNANT which was what was causing my awful indigestion, NOT this wonderful treat! LOL

Meaty Thick Man Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This is a pretty good recipe, but I am not a measure-er. I have made it several ways, I have used ground turkey, but I have NEVER used the 5lbs of meat it calls for. I do, however, always use a full can of beans, green pepper and red pepper. I sort of eyeball the chili powder and I add some salt to help season some and then I add some hot sauce (texas petes, tabasco, etc)- a few shakes.... and I too, top mine off with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream and I do also enjoy it served with some nice fresh bakery bread on the side! VERY GOOD basic recipe though! :D

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
This is delicious and my 2 year old even ate it without feeding *too much* to the dog LOL My Fiance is SUPER picky as well and he said that its AWESOME! However, the ONE change I made (except for seasoning to my liking)- is I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and 2 pieces went VERY far and it doesn't need nearly as much time in the oven either. I served it with some fettuccine with garlic and parm cheese. overall, was very good combo :)

Skillet Beef and Macaroni

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
Was easy to make, but I was hoping it would have more flavor to it. I added some paprika and chili powder at the very end per some other suggestions I saw, but that didn't really help. It did however, make me feel like it would be awesome with a sloppy joe flavoring.

Puppy Chow

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
this was SO simple and SO tasty! I loved munching on it a handful at a time, my 20 month old son also loved munching on them. My only problem with it, I got indigestion every time I would eat it. Turns out, I was getting indigestion from anything with peanut butter in it- because I later found out I am pregnant! :D

Campbell's Kitchen Easy Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I am now making this for the 2nd time. The first time, using fresh chicken breasts, I boiled it and added garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper so it had some flavoring. I used extra chicken and 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and plenty of veggies (didn't use measuring cups for anything). It came out delicious. My fiance fell in love with it, so I am surprising him today with it.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
I was afraid of the "sour" milk part, but I just went with it. I like my pancakes a little sweeter, so I added a tad bit more sugar. These came out SO SO SO good! I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I made them, because anytime I've tried to make pancakes, I've been discouraged because they come out terrible! These, were not though. They were as good as most breakfast places! I will be trying various things mixed in, in the future- chocolate chips, blueberries, bananas.

Beer Battered Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
the base recipe is perfect. it makes perfect beer battered chicken, but i read that it was bland, so i always add seasonings that i like- to the chicken when in strips, to the flour to dip chicken in, as well as the batter for some kick- i add cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and some seasoning salt. I also add a bit more beer, maybe more like 2/3c than 1/2c.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
I would give 5 stars, but the only reason I didn't was because the batter didn't have quite enough blueberry flavor mixed in. Next time, I am not going to be afraid of breaking the blueberrys and squishing them! I may even add some mashed blueberries to give it more blueberry flavor, but other then that, they were delish!

Chocolate Oil Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
I halved this recipe. It came out really moist and just delicious. The recipe didnt mention to oil/flour the pan, but i did anyway so it wouldnt stick. Also, to spruce it up, I didn't have the ingredients to make my own icing, so I used half a jar of marshmallow creme. It came out SO good!
