Sausage and Spinach Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
So simple, ingredients I usually have on hand, quick and tasty. I like it even better with hot italian sausages as they lend a great taste to the broth. I've also tried it with the addition of miracle noodles which have no carb count as a "filler". very satisfying. Will definitely make again. Thank you for a great recipe!

Easy and delicious. Just be mindful of the size of your lobster tails as you may need to add more cooking time accordingly. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Tomato Chops II

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2013
As per my husband's request, I searched for a tomato sauce pork chop recipe because he was nostalgic for his departed mother's food. I had never attempted this recipe before and it was a great hit! My husband is very particular when it comes to food and I had large shoes to fill since it reminded him of his mother--this recipe was extremely well recieved--even by my finicky kids! Have already made this twice and have been requested to add this to our regular rotations of meals. Thank you for a quick, easy and tasty recipe!

Shrimp Etouffee II

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2013
I thought this tasted awesome. I admit that I've never had etoufee before and therefore I have no point of reference. That being said, as far as the taste, simplicity, and convenience of utilizing ingredients that are staples in our pantry/refrigerator, this recipe gets a ten! I doubled the recipe and realized too late that I only had one can of the soup but it still tasted great. Will definitely make this again. Thank you very much for the recipe!

Vanilla Glaze

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
I really liked this glaze but found it was necessary to take the advise of others regarding the milk portion! I added one tablespoon of corn syrup and added milk AS NECESSARY!! That for me meant about 2 tablespoons. If not, it's just too thick!! But this was super easy and the taste was sooooo good. I used this recipe to glaze a cinnamon coffee cake from this recipe and it was a huge hit in my home. Thank you for this recipe!

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
My super picky husband insists that I make this a weekly staple in our household. He thought I bought this cake at our bakery!! The cake barely lasted one day! I took the advise of others and double the 'cinnamon swirl' portion (as well as substituted brown for white sugar) and I created an extra swirl but other than that, I followed recipe exactly and it was easy, fast, and the results are out of this world. I glazed the top with vanilla glaze--will be making this cake from now on to take to friends and family homes for holidays! Thank you so much for the recipe.

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2013
We all loved this recipe. As the weather didn't permit outside grilling, I placed steaks in shallow baking dish, topped with sliced onions, peppers and mushrooms and poured marinade over all. It was a great hit. Thank you for sharing the recipe

Black Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2013
I hate when I devote my time and ingredients to a recipe that seems to have a perfect rating just to end up disappointed. After following the recipe TO THE TEE was that the cake was indeed chocolatey but not sweet! It crumbled very easily and no matter how much I greased and floured my good quality non stick pans, the batter still stuck and the cake made a mess just getting out of the pan. I really wanted to like it especially since this recipe didn't call for milk which I was out of but unfortunately, I did not have good results with this recipe. More power to those of you who reached success, however you did it! Thank you anyway for generously sharing your recipe with us!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
delicious! easy and true to their title.....SOFT!!! they keep SOFT for days....this was helpful to me since I made a huge batch of these cookies a couple of hours before hurricane Sandy claimed my power. I didn't have molasses on hand so I substituted maple syrup and it didn't deter the taste one bit. thank you for a great recipe. highly recommended.

Quick Cantonese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
I was in need of a quick stir fry sauce for my veggies. I made this one last night (without the onions and tomatoes). It was extremely easy and quick. My only substitutions were splenda for the regular sugar, and ground ginger because I didn't have fresh ginger on hand. Mixed everything in a small bowl, microwaved it for a minute and poured over my veggies. My husband said it was the best veggies I've ever made (and they were from frozen!). He had THREE HELPINGS and asked for me to make this again today. Thank you for the quick, easy, and tasty recipe!!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
Its not right to rate these cookies 5 stars when they actually deserve at least 10 starts!!! Super easy to make, very soft and the best taste ever!!!! I find that there's no need to dip the spoon in sugar since they are perfectly sweet already. I slightly dipped so that they would not end up cruncy. EVERYONE has given these cookies rave reviews. I have given them as gifts as well as baked them by the truckloads for both of my children's classes. This recipe is a no-fail attempt and there is absolutely no need to change anything. I added raisins but purely due to personal choice. Your search for the perfect oatmeal cook ends right here!!! Thank you so much for the recipe. I will be making these over and over and over again!!!!!!

Mushrooms with a Soy Sauce Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
I have tried just about every single mushroom recipe in this website and this one by far blows all of them out the box!! I loved it so much that I ate the whole thing almost by myself. My daughter doesn't even like mushrooms and was fighting with me for some more. I just returned from the supermarket with 4 more packs of mushrooms just so I can make this again. If I could give this recipe 10 stars, I certainly would. No need to change a thing, PERFECT AS IS!!!! Thank you soooooooooo much for an easy, quick, healthy and delicious recipe. This has officially become a staple in my recipe box!

Irish Heritage Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
This recipe was really tasty and easy to put together. I love that I'm able to enjoy it as I low-carb diet. I add extra bacon (because I love the stuff) and omit the nutmeg (strictly personal preference) and it was still yummy. I'll be making this on St. Patty's day with potatoes and corned beef. Thank you for a great tasting and easy recipe!

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
I really loved this recipe. I used frozen green beans and therefore I omitted the water, but I'm sure it'll taste that much better using fresh green beans. I chopped bacon into small enough pieces so that every biteful would have bacon in it. As a low-carber a good side dish is hard to find and this recipe makes sticking to the diet that much easier. Thank you for this great recipe. As a matter of fact, I'm making this again tonight! Bon apetit.

Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
If my husband had anything to say about this rating system, I would give this recipe 10 stars. I was really truly impressed at how great this tasted. I made a bigger batch of this by adding 14 ounces of crushed tomatoes and adjusting the listed spices accordingly. I also used Splenda in place of the regular sugar. It was soooooo good that the next day, my husband insisted that I cook more pasta so that he can use the leftover sauce (which was plenty and is freezable). Courtney, thank you soooo much for such an awesome-tasting and quick/easy recipe. This is one of those recipes that will be used every week and I'll make sure to teach my kids how to make this once they're a little older. :o)

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
I can not say enough good things about this recipe. My only changes were to substitue Splenda for the requested sugar (I'm low-carbing and this made it allowable!), and I omitted the ginger (due to personal preferences only). This was soooooooooooooooooo good that when my husband came home from work the next day, the first thing he asked for was left over chicken and he wasn't too thrilled when I told him I had taken some for lunch :o)--trust me, my husband is very finicky and he has asked me to make this regularly!! This is officially a staple in my recipe box. FYI: 12 packets Splenda=1/2 cup sugar and you won't even notice the difference. Excellent sweet tangy taste!! No after-taste (and I used regular Splenda, not the "for baking" splenda!) Thank you soooooooooo much for such a quick and yummy recipe that I will be sure to pass down to my kids!
