Blue Ribbon Overnight Rolls

This recipe has allowed me to easily add homemade rolls to my Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. The recipe makes a large number (I confess we have had a couple holidays where I have had more than 20 coming so have doubled it!!!)and it is excellent. Everyone raves and this will always be part of my repetoire. Thanks for a great holiday staple!

Never Fail Pie Crust II

I have used this recipe for 25 plus years. I am the pie baker for our family and friends in Virginia. My only rival is my sister-in-law in Upstate New York who gave me this recipe. My husband's family revels in their history of fine pastry and the ultimate compliment was when he told me my pie was as good as his Grandmother's had been!!! This recipe has a lot to do with my success. I often use white shortening for savory pies and less sweet dessert pies. I've been known to replace a cup of white with whole wheat flour in the recipe for savory or more earthy dessert pies. Reduce sugar for savory crust and add for very sweet crust... I always roll it out after refrigerating. For Thanksgiving and Christmas I usually make 1 to 3 batches at a time and freeze in individual single crust size discs (waxed paper then inserted in individual plastic bags) to use as needed. 4 to 12 pies at Thanksgiving and 4 to 6 at Christmas time!!! Don't know how we could make it through the holidays without this one!

Lasagna Spirals

This was great and it was easy!!! Big factor for me. Used spinach vs. broccoli as I always think of nutmeg with spinach. Added some garlic salt and forgot the green onions as I was talking on the phone while cooking. I would use this filling and variations of it in other dishes as well. Use a good pasta sauce with a lot of basil,onion, garlic, and rich tomato flavor. More exotic will take away from the spinach cheese and nutmeg.

Alaska Salmon Bake with Pecan Crunch Coating

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Wonderful in all respects. I have used 3 cups white flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour to take it up another notch!!! I have also rolled into a rectangle and cut into 24 diamonds which make them a smaller and more manageable size.
