This cake is fantastic!! I will make this cake again, but I think I might add some instant coffe to the recipe to make it a mocha cake.

Baby Food Cake Bars

Even though I am the one who submitted this recipe, I have to rate it. This is a family favorite. I have to make two batches when I make them. I do ahve a note to add to this recipe though; I submitted the wrong size pan: should be a jelly roll pan.

Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2007
This recipe was great. I did change a few things, though. I used minced onion instead of fresh, and added extra boullion. Also added bacon, and instead of half of the butter, i used bacon grease. it added a great flavor to the soup. Also, since i can't stay away from the spice cabinet, i added garlic powder, onion powder, and more celery salt. At the end when you add half & half, I used evaporated milk instead. It was really good. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

Hazelnut Toffee Crunch

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
I made this recipe a little backwards and it worked fine. I omitted the nuts (my kids don't like nuts), quadrupled the recipe, poured it into a butter jelly roll pan lined with buttered foil. I let it cool a little and scored with a buttered knife. Then I sprinkled with 12 oz milk chocolate chips, let melt and spread. It turned out great.

Glazed Carrots

These were not very good. There was too much butter, and not enough flavor. Will not make these again.

Chicken Kiev

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
It was pretty good, but hard to handle. I couln't keep the butter inside the chicken. I deep fried for 5 minutes and then baked until cooked through.Over all not a bad recipe. I will make it again, but this time figure out a way to keep the butter inside

Scones

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
I have done many different things to this recipe and they all turned out great. One thing I did was add 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the mixture then stirred in 1 cup of cinnamon baking chips.GREAT!!! Another twist was to substitute brown sugar for the white sugar, then stirred in 1 1/2 cups of toffee bits. Then I cut into mini scones to make them more bite size. AWESOME!! Will continue to use this recipe over and over agian!!!

Quick and Easy Monkey Bread

Nothing special about this recipe. It had good flavor, but maybe I didn't put enough butter into it? It was dry.

Powdered Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2007
The dough was VERY hard to work with. It was too soft. I put it in the fridge over night and that mad eit easier, but still not much flavor. Probably won't make these again.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2007
I was a little scared after I got this mixed up. It was such a dense dough, that I was afraid the cookies would be too dry. But after rolling them in sugar before baking, thay were the best sugar cookie I've ever made. So sweet and buttery!!! FANTASTIC!!!!

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
I omitted the green peppers and doubled the recipe. At the end when you add the chicken, I added a 16 oz bag of frozen peas and carrots. I also threw in some garlic powder and minced onion and onion salt, along with celery salt (I like spices). It was a huge success. was planningon having some to freeze, but had to boil more noodles so we could eat it. Needless to say, we didn't have enough left to freeze. definitely a keeper recipe.

Best if made on clear, dry day. Too much humidity can effect this recipe. I always let it cool to room temp. after adding butter and vanilla and before stirring.

Had great flavor, after adding 1 tsp grated lemon peel. But ended up freezing it to get it to set. It was really runny, not firm like the recipe says it will be.
